Hello @Tumilty. The proposed PIP rules state you need at least 4 points in one descriptor to qualify, as well as over 8 points in total. If you have 10 points awarded in one descriptor, then you would have enough under the proposed changes.

Is there actually any hope atall that the 4 point pip rule won't go through ?can't actually get my head around the cruelness of it .
Just read on sky how MP's are getting a pay rise so their salaries will be a whopping
£93,904.
How on earth is that fair or morally right ☹️

Interesting article from Sir Robin Millar Chair of Disability Charity Scope.
I hope it is ok to post this article.

as i believe it its the new point system that you need a 4 point only in the daily living mobility is not affected

as far as I’m aware there are no changes to ESA IR in this green paper. However you should get a migration letter by the end of year to migrate it to UC
I have no idea what it entails but there are other posts about this in scope I belief.
And yes, you’ll be reassessed again, but from 2028 only for PIP as per green paper proposals.
Hope this helps

good for him
There are times to act for what is morally right and this is one of them

So mps pay going up 2.8% next year. Disgusting

Yes to £93,904! Shocking . Take from the vulnerable to give to the rich
3 -
They get a pay rise while they sit there with their proposals to push the most vulnerable into poverty and harass them constantly. What a lovely world (not).

The government can adjust the minimum amount they say is needed to live on by changing the law through the legislative process, and it looks like that’s what they’re doing. They will no doubt argue that the previous levels were unsustainable or no longer reflect the reality of the economy. In the end, the government can "get away with it" because they control the legal framework, but that doesn't mean the decision won’t be contested or scrutinised by the public, disability charities, media, or courts.

That was unexpected,
MP personal reply no copy and paste, they agreed I made valid points
and has spoken with both Timms and Kendall over the issues raised.
Now this begs the question if they agree that a lot of these proposals are "unfair"
will they vote against it?
Reform nearly took this seat at the GE, Wiping out nearly 8,000 maj
they are doorstepping every weekend , Main issues? reopening the closed A&E, and how disabled people are being treated, Its of course nonsense but this is what Labour cannot see they are putting so much fear into people.

@alexroda many thanks for your words.. As i say after the tribunal in 2021 i was awarded the 10 points but in the letter i can't find anything about how long i'll receive the award. Will the pip assessment be face to face as i recall my last one was a big form i filled in then the appeal/tribunal was via telephone. Many thanks but even though it's very worrying for me there ain't much can do about it now & it's a long way off.
1 -
I can’t answer that, but at the moment official figures show that 7% of the assessments are being done face to face and the rest via phone.
You might have a 10 year award. Who knows.
You’ll get a text and a letter once they start your review process.

if you are feeling really anxious about the length of your award, I guess you can always call them up and find out.

interesting short call with a current working welfare advisor.
Point that struck me the most is that there is a disability advisor in every jobcenter but due to the current number of jobless people, they have no time to help disabled people.

Does anyone know if there is a website so you can see what mps are opposed to these benefit cuts? I’d like to see if my mp is opposing them
4 -
@apples , Great. now you say that I would love to see that data too . Thanks for bringing this up👍
1 -
I think we will only find that out after they have voted.

I had a look earlier but could only find my mp was opposing benefit cuts in 2016 (she’s labour so weren’t in power then) I’d love to know if her stance has changed now
