The Labour Party can threaten to deselect rebel MP's all it wants. It won't make a difference. The Labour Party is out come the next GE. It's just how long will it take for those at the helm of the Labour Party to realise this?

What we need is for the back benchers to realise it now . Get thrown out and keep their integrity

Well I think starner knew what he was doing with all new mps wet behind the ears it's amazing how people will drop thier beliefs and morals through fear but then it can the other effect especially MPs who have been loyal to Labour for many years they might say we will rebel and the word rebel says it all doesn't it ! Never in my life time have seen a snake like starmer he's like leaders in third world countries I always was glad to be living in this country I thought it was fair and we had good laws oh the bubbles burst but I feel alot of MPs will be extremely angry being told how they should vote god hope alot go independent wouldn't that be amazing bullies bullies I detest bullies weak individuals like starmer says something then runs

I have just emailed Rayner, Reeves and Co and said deselect MP's all you like. Labour is out come the next GE. This isn't all over by a long shot. We just have to keep fighting on. Though I have to say, like everyone else I'm exhausted and just feel worn down by it all.

The reference to "new claims" was written poorly in the Green Paper. We never found out whether those of us claiming legacy CB-ESA with nil UC entitlement will be included in the scheme.
1 -
that’s because that change of CB-ESA is part of the green paper.
Measures announced today are not part of the green paper nor the consultation.

What we also have to do all of us is make sure we rest as well plenty fluids and eat little and often because even that becomes hard and makes you worse hold in there we have each other and millions of good people fighting this seems impossible when they come across authoritarian and adamant that this is what will happen for the good of the country thier good at mind games goes down the line for centuries but people becoming aware and see it's not fair for anyone in this country and that they are the enemy

If they deselect can they go independent?

This bill is to cut pip, cut LCWRA and tighten the eligibility for PIP.
This has nothing to do with the Green Paper/Consultation.
The Green Paper is going to be another thing for us to fight because they want to abolish the Work Capability Assessment and in turn Limited Capability for Work and Limited Capability for Work Related Activity.

I'll say this and someone else said it, they can't force a person who can't work to look for work. They will harass and force sanctions on the disabled, that CANNOT SLIDE.

See below, released by the government today.
It is unacceptable that the government continues to withhold clear information about the criteria for SCC group eligibility. They have yet to specify which conditions will be protected, leaving the current document vague and unhelpful. This lack of transparency creates unnecessary confusion and anxiety for claimants who deserve clarity and fairness.

Unfortunately despite my comment earlier today, the situation has continued throughout the day. Therefore I must temporarily pause this conversation whilst the matter is reviewed. Apologies for any inconvenience caused.

Afternoon all. A review has now been completed and a number of comments removed and members contacted.
I'm pleased to advise this discussion has been re-opened however please remember that tensions are high for everyone and posts need to be in line with house rules.

Hi @Holly_Scope Today was a milestone on our journey together. Things become rocky at these points. There are so many changes proposed in the 2024-29 administration. Might the Mods consider having two threads?
- The contents progress of the Bill and its progress through parliament
- The consultative Green Paper and what happens after 30 June
