    More good news

    Welfare rebellion latest 👇🏼

Three more Labour MPs have signed rebel amendment, taking total to 126, but none have withdrawn their names, despite government efforts.

Also, I’m told the Greens, Plaid and SNP have joined signatories, which already include DUP, making it more likely Speaker will select amendment.

(As ever, no of current signatories only confirmed after Commons adjourns).

From what I remember I think maybe you can still get UC, possibly the same amount as job seekers allowance and as long as you've got a Dr's sick note shouldn't have to look for work, but you'll still have to see a work coach every so often, who may sanction or even stop your money all together if you're unable to do some of the things they expect you to do (probably more so if you have a mental illness like depression or anxiety rather than a visible physical disability), I guess it just depends on the work coach you get.

Someone feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.

If I end up in this situation and I have enough savings to live off to get me through the MR and tribunal, then if my work coach is difficult that's it I'll be walking out, stop my money as much as you want.

If I don't have enough savings I'll just have to keep seeing them, unless I end up so unable to cope with it mentally that I cannot even make myself go anymore. If I get sanctioned on the much less money that I'm on or my money stopped altogether then that's it I'm finished, I'll either starve to death unless I commit suicide first because of not being able to cope.

I’ve heard of two different forms, the short form and the 89 page form which I’ve seen people say it’s more about what you can do rather than can’t do . Others have said it has separate questions for prompting etc if I remember correctly. Apparently my forms on it way so I’ll post on here what’s it’s like if anyone is interested

PANIC IS SETTING IN. CONSTITUENTS FROM OUR TOWN WHO CONTACTED OUR MP HAVE NOW BEEN EMAILED. THEY HAVE BEEN INVITED TO MEET WITH OUR MP BOTH BEFORE THE VOTE AND AGAIN AFTER THE VOTE.

In the last hour, our local Labour MP, who serves as a Parliamentary Private Secretary (PPS) and typically votes in line with the government, sent out an urgent email inviting us to community meetings about the proposed changes to PIP and Universal Credit.

There will be two meetings before the vote and one after the vote. I’ve registered for Saturday’s in-person session and also signed up for the post-vote meeting also, as I am sure there will be plenty to discuss.

    See MP's email below

You are receiving this email because you have recently written to me to share your concerns with the Government's proposed changes to PIP and Universal Credit. Over the past several weeks, I have met with community leaders, activists, and individuals in receipt of PIP and UC. Their testimonies and expertise have been invaluable as I've navigated the complexities of this situation. It's important to me that I get this decision right and that everyone has the opportunity to express their views to me on this issue. That’s why I’m inviting you to one of three upcoming community meetings—two in person and one online:

    • Saturday 28 June – 10-11:30am, In person
    • Monday 30 June – 5:30-6:30pm, Online
    • Saturday 5 July – 11-12:30pm,      In person

The first two meetings are ahead of the second reading vote on 1 July, and the third follows that vote, giving us a chance to reflect and discuss next steps. To ensure the discussion is as informative as possible, I’m delighted that local leaders from the Council,  Citizens Advice Bureau will also be attending. Their experience and guidance will be an invaluable resource as we talk through the concerns, challenges, and practicalities of the proposed changes.

The only part I was able to read said money to get people into work being brought forward after they’ve been caught out lying about the billion pound fund . Again about work , didn’t see anything about us who physically cannot work.
