I am about to reapply for PIP it expires December 2025.

Amongst the evidence I am preparing before hand is requesting a GP letter.

Am wondering what I should request it include, I have seen some older posts (2019) that suggest that I get them to mention the effect my condition has on me.

On my patients records for the GP it doesn't seem to mention anything about the side effects of my medication, the impact or that I am immune suppressed, CAB said DWP will be able to infer the effect of medication, I am not so sure? (changed GP practice when I moved house 2 years ago and records are incomplete)

Should I get the GP to list my medication and their side effects/complications or would DWP be able to "manage" to know what the effect is or accept the effects based on the medications I am taking?

The hospital letters are mostly detailed about my operations and conditions, but don't detail the effect of my medications.

    Ask your GP to include:

    1. what they know of the impact of your conditions on your mobility and capacity in daily life.
    2. Whether your condition is like to improve, is chronic, or progressive.
    3. Your medications and aids/ appliances and how much, if at all, they help and any negative effects.

    Use old evidence if need be. It demonstrates that a condition is long-term, perhaps lifelong. Moreover, I've found that older evidence in more detailed.

    I would not trust the DWP to infer anything to the advantage of the claimant. CAB should have more sense.

    Thank you, sort of thought the DWP inferring anything was a bit weird
