Additionally, if you started with CB ESA WRAG, this ran out and swapped to IR ESA WRAG, then you were moved to ESA Support Group, the CB ESA reactivates and the claim becomes ESA Support Group, CB with an IR top up if applicable.

Oh ok thanks .... Yeah
I was on incapacity 2009 - 2013
Then moved to ESA CB support 2013
Then In 2018 they realised they made a mistake , as they had with thousands of people .... That when we were moved over from incapacity to ESA we all should of been in cbesa with IR top up .... So they rectified it and gave us a back payment of all the top ups we missed , so by doing that we were seen as having cbesa with a IR top up from the very start of being on ESA ....
Then I moved over to UC and now I get cbesa / new style ESA every two weeks ....( not sure which as I think maybe cbesa changes to new style ESA when you move to UC ) And then get my lcwra at the end of the month with my ESA taken off of it ....
So I've never been in the wrag , always been in the support group , so my award has never had a time limit ....
Thanks for the information though , I never realised that there was a time limit on the wrag …
I was just saying in my previous post , I find it amazing that because I worked two years prior to my claim of incapacity benefit and qualify for contribution based benefits because of that , I still qualify for them now all these years later just because there's never been a break in my claim

I'd say that it's great there's somewhere local that's able to help disabled people into work and wont take advantage of them. 😁

Coming to this very late as I've been away, but - bear in mind this is very regionally done, but in my council area Attendance Allowance is a considered factor in applications for Blue Badges. There is a longer form with more information required for people who don't have PIP or DLA automatic qualification but a fair number of what are known here as discretionary blue badges are issued in our area based on medical evidence, a detailed form and Attendance Allowance.
If you get to that point, take whatever medical information you have for your disability with you to the application. In our area having a long term record for a condition requiring a blue badge is also taken into consideration, although it can't provide eligibility on its own :)
Additional - the suspension of MPs for listening to their constituents is another poor PR move by Labour. I emailed Maskell after the vote to thank her for fighting for disabled people. We need MPs like those who have had the whip removed, because they are brave enough to speak up for the right things.

Catherine, I have loved your dogged determination throughout this whole sorry saga, you have been a real star, you have never given up fighting for every disabled person via email ( it must be getting on for all MP's now ) everyday 😊

Ok, it's back to PIP so I'll leave it there!

In case anyone finds it useful, there is an option while posting to make the pictures a different size. I'll include a picture to show you where that option is below ☺️
When you upload or copy an image into your post, you can then click on the image and a bar of settings will come up. You might have to scroll up to the top of the image to see it. This should be there on both PC/Laptop and Mobile devices.
The default size is large, but if you select the second option across, you can choose medium or small to make it smaller so it takes up less of your post. Hope that's helpful. And I hope you don't mind me using your screenshot in the example @Catherine21!
Then if you find a picture is too small for you to read after posting it, you can just click on it and it should open as a larger image in a new window.

I've kept schtum for a long time about this, but feel the need to speak up now.For those of you out there who are constantly complaining about the Government's attacks on us disabled, just bear this in mind.If you do change your vote for another Party then you are basically adding to the chances of Reform and Farage forming the next Government. If you think this Party have it in for us all, then wait until Farage is in power. This mendacious, divisive and repugnant man will take the current Labour Policies and magnify them ten times over.
IN SHORT,IF YOU VOTE FOR FARAGE,OR EVEN IF YOU DESERT THE LABOUR PARTY AND VOTE FOR A N OTHER,YOU ARE FACILITATING A REFORM GOVT. AND OPENING THE GATES OF HELL.
Please think about this

You're not wrong, but where does that leave us when all the main parties seem to have it in for the disabled? Better the devil you know? Things are bad all round for us.

Right now,Labour are the ONLY option. What people do not seem to realise is that the Labour Party itself will always have its rebels who will challenge their own Leader. The Conservative Party will have very few rebels, while the Reform Party will very probably have no rebels at all who are willing to challenge its own Tinpot Dictator. So,all in all, after careful consideration, the Labour Party is the ONLY option for any discerning voter out there.A vote for any other Party is against our interests. It really is as simple as that.Case closed IMO…..unless somebody knows better.

I have not and will not ever vote Labour.

I understand your point but look at where we are now already. I do not like Labour and absolutely do not trust them, but I also can't claim to know the answer either. It's a rough place to be.

Unfortunately we've had to temporarily pause this discussion as it continues to move off topic and becoming uncivil and unsupportive.

In a dream world I'm hoping Jeremy corbyn makes a party that out numbers labour that all good mps from Labour join could that be a possibility but yes reform oh hell no and kemi seems to be going in really hard quoted saying along lines of people sitting at home doing noting whilst tax payers paying mmm I think government gain from tax payers money I used to get very upset now I just think how embarrassing and how easy humans are to mauliplate causes wars riots unrest all from galloping elites clinking glasses and in glee at the stupidity how strong we would be together I've always been open minded race religion is not something I see I've always seen the person I don't want anymore than anyone else or in competition with anyone but people who are full of dislike and unrest will always be played back to subject all parties seem more blue than red let's hope corbyn comes forward
Hi Catherine,
You make some good points there, especially re:being in competition with others and the easy manipulation of the masses. As for Corbyn,he is a man of decency and integrity, but sadly i think his setting up a new faction might only serve to split the Labour vote and give rise to Reform getting the keys to number ten.

I'm afraid I like Corbyn, the old Labour party mp's looked after people. That was until the new (torylabour) of blairs party ruined everything. I'm not advocating that we turn this into a political thread, it should be about looking after people, whether been made redundant or become ill and that's what they use to do.

Good morning,
I've removed a number of posts from this discussion to tidy it up a bit. It's important that people are able to access information without having to scroll through disagreements and discussion about other topics.
I have also removed some less-than-civil comments, including ones calling other members lazy. Please remember that just because something is simple to you, does not mean it is to others. We all share and access and process information differently.
That said, we have taken all of the feedback and information on board, particularly about accessibility and the general atmosphere on the community.
With kind regards,
Charlie
