How is your day going?

So far, so good! Plumber is here and he hasn't turned on all the lights or taken multiple calls on his mobile and is generally lovely. He's tackling several plumbing and drainage problems at once so I can at least have showers again instead of using a jug to wash 😊

I should be doing useful things, but yesterday was a hard day at work (physically, not emotionally, a lot of moving and sorting old stuff) and so all I've really managed so far today is to read a bit, potter around the garden and eat lunch. Which is pretty standard for me on a Tuesday, tbh :)
May have snuck in a chocolate brownie as well.Have plenty of things I need to do. Don't see any of them getting done though.

afternoon at home now. i am a bit worry about tomorrow. an important person is coming to the session and i do not like it when someone important comes to the sessions.. it is normally from the council or an mp.. i just do not like it. i hope it will be ok. but i will not be ok until all is done. i am always on the edge. i hope she will be gone and she will not stay all the session. and i hope there is no filming… anyway. it is important for me to be there but if i could i would not leave home tomorrow.

Schildpad, I know that feeling. I nearly cancelled today so I'm glad it's over with as you will be tomorrow when you're back home.

thanks … yes it is all about telling her our worries etc… and maybe she is able to do something or to pass the message. but with mps you never know.. i think it is important to be there….. but it is rather hard. but she needs to know what is wrong with the system. mental health etc. i hope tomorrow will be a good day. also if it helps the centre with funding etc. i am not sure really but an mp probably got more power than me but if all volunteers and workers etc… all together i am sure we might be able to get something sorted and showing myself there also shows i care for the cause.

I hurt my leg and sent an online form to the GP, and they want to see me in 3 days
I can't think of anything witty or sarcastic to say… I'm just shocked, in a pleasant way
This is going to sound sick, but, as someone who is used to complex problems and knows what it's like trying to get help (I'm sure many can relate) it feels oddly pleasant to have a "bog standard" injury and just see what it's like when the system works 😆

I hope your leg heals quickly
I went through a spate of bog standard injuries. So much so that I was on first name terms with A&E Nurses and subsequent ward nurses … 7 times in 18 months makes you really appreciate the NHS
Although a nurse stills owes me £50 after she bet they'd save my thumb and fingers
My day was ruined when I lost my bank card … 4 hours later I thought of ringing the cafe I'd been in. Yep stress could have been averted

@WelshBlue is losing your thumb and fingers a bog standard injury? I don't want to know what you consider an extreme injury 🫣

@66Mustang … a walk in or an ambulance ride is bog standard … a helicopter ride is an extreme one 😛
Thankfully I've only had a couple of them

Good morning
I am feeling exhausted again today but I am hoping to get out later and enjoy the sunshine.
