@Grumpy1314 your whisky barrels look lovely
Just an idea, and it'd be one of those things that only a few people would "get" but thosse who noticed would chuckle …….. but what about planting barley in one of them? 😂 Barley is quite hardy and low-maintenance I believe, and it's actually quite pretty

Was woken this morning made feel angry be ause i wanted a lay in as I'm in burnout. But my 3 year old granddaughter soon changed that feeling say "morning nanny".😀.
Then read your comment schildpad thank you for the inspiration of gratitude 🙏.
Today I don't have any plans. So self care is now my plan chill and deal with the burn out and enjoy what is beautiful and be grateful for the day.

I forgot to say good morning to everyone else, I do apologise! It's sunny and rainy here, so the garden will be happy. The pigeons were all looking a tad soggy waiting for their breakfast this morning. 😆
May your days be full of joy and wonder, whatever you have planned. ❤️

well as Hannibal Smith would say “I Love It When A Plan Comes Together”
Just need a few more plants and sealant for the barrels and then I’m ready to rock and roll.
After having a word with the inner chimp and feeding him a bag of banana’s, I’ve took the plunge and booked a holiday 😊
I’ve used the noggin and I’m going to just go away next June for 7 days to Madeira in Portugal, never been and it’s something to look forward to and build towards.
Inner Chimp and Outer Sloth is Happy 😊

Hi 66Mustang, thanks. You know I'm not deliberately unkind and you are certainly not a horrible person!! 🤗 I knew I was taking a risk by saying what I did and I will try to explain.
"Like if you really thought it was true you'd just disappear without a trace"
That was the bit that worried me in case it was taken as a challenge (as in, well, why don't you just…?) It's a bit weird discussing a third party like this and I was probably being over-sensitive myself.
Wishing everyone a peaceful day 🌤️

Ah that's sounding lovely and positive @Grumpy1314 you have your inner chimp, I have my "head weasels" and reptile brain. 😆
Having something to look forward to, or at least aim for is so so important I think. Eyes on the prize and all that.
and no problem @WhatThe we're all friends here, we're all non horrible friends here. ❤️2 -
very very true my inner chimp makes King Kong look like a **** cat 😂😂
I’m flying out in June next year, it’s kind of a two things for me the holiday. Escaping somewhere after what what’s been very very hard and life changing five years and while I’m in Madeira I’ll turn 43 so a kind of Birthday present to myself to.
2 -
Oh that'll be a fab birthday gift! Plus it's a good excuse to have that extra cocktail 😉
I'm planning my first outing in about 9 years, a nice little jaunt to a german xmas market.

Sadly I can’t risk alcohol anymore due to my stomach condition and the meds I’m on. Although given the chance I’d have a single malt any day of the week.
I may have a non alcoholic Strawberry Daiquiri like I had in Puerto Vallarta in Mexico many moons ago.
I must admit I don’t like Christmas, but always liked Manchester Christmas Markets, but with the increased crime rate today I wouldn’t risk it.

I am so exhausted today.
I have a workman here installing a new shower.
