Quiet and uneventful. Thinking about what time to walk Gus.

in order to feel accepted sometimes we have to start with ourselves.. i do not like myself. i keep making mistakes and say things i regret. even thought i keep my month shut almost all the time as i feel i am making a fool of myself. and also i have nf1 what makes me different. even if it is not too obvious it is after a few seconds.. so learning to accept myself is one thing as i hate myself. i am surviving in this jungle and trying to keep going in a world i am not feeling comfortable with. still i am taking selfies maybe because my body in general is changing so much to worse.. Anyway i will watch a couple of films and let see tomorrow. i hope weather will be ok as i have to go out.

Good morning all. It's a mixed bag here for weather this morning in Brum. Bright but no blue sky. Expecting downpours throughout the day. It's still not that cold though, I haven't needed my heating on yet. We have had alot of spiders, so i think it's getting cooler.
Hope everyone has a good day.

Just found out my 89 yo neighbour getting end of life care at home. Her 'companion' has stuck around, and has been doing everything for her, bar intimate care. (I bet alot of men would have bolted, good on him).

Sorry to read that @Chris75_. He sounds like a great guy. Must be very difficult.

Thought i might as well relate this tale, it's been a slow week! ๐
I was out 'early' last night with Gus, no particular reason. Not long into the walk, I approached a sharp corner, with a high kerb, beside which there is a bench.
On the bench sprawled several 16/17 year olds, another one sat on his bike looking at his phone. His bike was right across the pavement.
We all know how this goes; as I approached, the sullen phone gazer ignored me, pretended I wasn't there, whatever. I was planning just to give him his 10 seconds of glory, then speak out.
He wasn't moving, I spoke out, asking in a neutral voice for him to let me past. The street was empty and I didn't fancy being tipped onto the road or suchlike. No point in upsetting the wee cherub.
After I spoke, he gave me his best gen z stare, and ever so slowly moved his rear tyre about 6 inches, nowhere near enough of a distance.
We had another silence and me giving him a few seconds, whereupon I threw caution to the wind and ordered him to chuffing well move!
He did move in the end, all his wee mates giggling away on their bench.
It was no big deal, but it just struck me as odd. When did trying to intimate a wheelchair user become an act of bravado that impressed one's peers? We at least had to take some sort of risk to manage that!

Hi @Grumpy1314 I've released your comment. One of the words must have triggered the spam filter. I'm really sorry that those posts are happening. It's good that your focused on yourself and wellbeing. Hopefully once this divorce is finalised you can close the chapter.

@Chris75_ aye some of the youth can be trying if not downright insolent. Seems like you handled it right. I remember a few years ago seeing 3 lads ganging up on a lad with learning difficulties, nobody else seemed bothered but I couldn't pass โฆ cost me a few hours in the police station for grabbing hold of one of them until CCTV showed he came at me first
Is Gus a popular dog name in Scotland ? Another member here has the same name for their dog
Due to some of medications causing gum disease I had the pleasure of scaling and root planing today โฆ when I go back in 3 months for it again, I'm taking the injections. Literally made me cry ๐ซ Plus almost found out what water-boarding must be like, I swear I nearly drowned
@Grumpy1314 โฆ I wouldn't worry typing a song title got me in the system ๐
Hope things calm down โฆ I know what it's like to have a psycho ex
