Helow I am an Auto Electrician a powerful ali for electric scooter problems however I have a Greenpower Fastest I have solved the restricton of 8 MPH to 15MPH I think a little more because these people that make the laws don't live in the real World! If you are about to get attacked or mugged how the hell do you get away and out of danger with a top speed of 8 MPH? this wouldn't enter theire empty heads!

So what I need to know is how to disengauge the motor/throttle brakeing at the controller wich wire to snip? this will be a thin signal type one maybe the thin white? If nobody knows I will remove the controler and get the numbers off it and Google it! if somebody knows please share it! if not I shall find out and post it for everyone to see! the Greenppower or Verobike brands do not regenbrake they just use power to do so this means you can't take advantage off coasting etc I do know tere is a way just knowing like that switch in the back I soon found that 1,2, NO 3! hardely rocket sciance? eather a swich or a wire to connect! now I notice on the display there is a "4" but only a three position switch interesting! in anser to the 28 MPH goal I suspect it will need a four position switch and a wire running back to a redundent wire on the controller! or a replacement controlier, forget going to a dealer for a controller they are insanely cheap from AliExpress around £17 some come with all the kit too! so anyone know about this nusense trottle/motor brake removal please make life easy!

There is also a reason why we have such laws in place, I just hope I don't live in the same area as you. as you will be a danger to the public speeding down the path at 15MPH. Also I'm sure if found out you could have your mobility scooter confiscated by the police.

Did you manage to get any further switching the 4th mode on. I already unlocked the 15mph but also believe they could reach 30mph

Hi Bruce did you ever find out more about increasing speed of ZT4/JH500 beyond the 15mph,as the toggle switch at back is only for engaging the 3rd power setting could there also be a speed contoller wire on controller or maybe a programable replacement that will incresae speed but also have the auxilery outputs required. Been awhile since i commented but scooter now out of warrenty

Thanx for any info you may have

Hi @speedfreak, our members will not be able to provide advice on how to do this. Altering the speed of a mobility scooter to go beyond what it's designed for is not safe or legal. Most mobility scooters are limited to 8mph for the safety of the person using it and all other road users.

All vehicles with speeds above that must be registered with the DVLA and require a driving licence. They cannot be used on pavements or in public areas, only on the roads. There's a guide to mobility scooter classes here:
