Power chair recommendations please?

hi

Power chairs are totally new to me

The whill c2 looks like a good power chair for me to hire or buy, but does anyone else have any other recommendations? I like the fact that it’s been reviewed and demonstrated a few times on YouTube by people who aren’t affiliated to the product. Am particularly interested if there are any power chairs that are also are available on short term lease.

A big bulky chair wouldn’t be good. It should be able to tackle the lay of the land in my town ( bog standard lay of land), and maybe be able to go on grass. ( I believe something like the whill f veers off course when you’re trying to go up some inclines).

I need it for indoor and outdoor use.

Thanks for reading

I have found them to be a good deal less forgiving than a quality class 3 scooter. Even the Quickie Q700M i am hiring from Motability. It is considered one of tthe best, so I dread to think what others are like!

I have found you need to take things much slower outdoors; either that or be like a crash test dummy.

I really appreciate the advice. not sure if I could handle a scooter outside, have massive damage in my hands, but will bear it in mind, as long as I don’t put loads of pressure on like I do with the walking frame, it might be ok, not sure though, and I’ve not got a proper grip in my left hand.
whill c2 looks to be a bit more of an elongated shape, making me think that it might handle a bit better as a chair, that and the review it got being taken through a woods and around towns

I use class 3 scooter on my daily 6-9 mile dog walk, my boot scooter for short trips to pharmacy etc, and my powerchair in the house.

got it … there’s a girl called chronically jenni online. she raises awareness about disability.. and she made a video saying a similar kind of thing..

I think eventually ideally I might like a nimble little indoor powerchair.. one that can go outside also tho.. and then for lay of the land that’s just a little more challenging I’m not sure. I’d like to be able to go from town to city to city in a power chair maybe stay in hotels in it if I could get well enough.. we’ll see…
