Hi, my name is Zippy1983!

Hi everyone,

very old soul here, fine vintage of 42 going on 92. Life long veteran of battling both mental and physical health conditions (The Acme Catalogue has proved useless 💣) Orignally from a small cotton mill town in Lancashire, now living in Middle Earth - I’ve yet to bump into the Fellowship.

I am of Scottish, Irish, Welsh, English, Swedish and Danish decent according to the old gene pool. I have been a practicing Buddhist for 15 years, still not found enlightenment, maybe I’ve not sat under the right tree (Conkers hurt when they land on the old heed) I guess that would make me a Kilt Wearing Celtic Buddhist Berserker!!

Most of my life between an early starter at 12 weeks prem to finally leaving the terrible two’s at 16 😈 I was an inmate at a children’s psychiatric unit between the ages of six to eight years old, school life was split between being a Statemented Child at 3 Special Needs Schools (Including Arkham Asylum) and main stream schools of which the latter I couldn’t cope. But the boarding school I attended between 95-99 have me stability, taught me life skills, taught me manners, respect, empathy and many outdoor pursuits 🏕️⛰️🥾 alongside driving various cars and motorbikes.

For the next 20 years I worked as a Gardening Assistant on private gardens and a large chemical plant in and around the town I grew up in and the big smoke near where I lived 🐝 Then I left there to move to the land of the crooked spire where I worked as a Support Worker, taking care of service users with mental and physical disabilities in there own homes, I looked at it as my way of giving something back after my own battles from birth. I loved, married and divorced two women in the space of 14 years, the first one was more like Hannibal Lector, the second was more akin to a Scottish Woman armed with a knife that after almost ten years took the knife and cut the heart out of me and then chucked it on a bonfire.

Now after a five year battle with my demons, this retired support garden worker is now living in a Supported Living Flat with many posh adaptations to make life that bit easier (Buck Palace isn’t a patch on it) I tend to live like an old Hermit isolated in a Croft in the middle of the highlands, only venturing out for medical appointments. I still use the old dog and bone to speak to CMHT and Crisis Lines when I need to. A poor Area Coordinator from the local council has been assigned my case, to try and help me to put a plan of attack in place for me to live again (100% not going to be on the scale of the Dams Raid) more on akin to that of a Dads Army exercise. Hopefully aid me to get back out to a coffee shop, theatre, comedy show, rock or metal concert.

The old Hobbies I love but struggle to do due to old dark matter, books my precious, motorsport, football, rugby union, cricket, ps5, listening to music, lego, meditation etc

I like travelling to - been to Fethiye in Southern Turkey 🇹🇷 (Not Bernard Matthew’s) and Puerto Vallarta in Mexico 🇲🇽 I’m travelling out to Antalya in 2027 as a solo traveller for the first time 🛫 flying from Ringway Aerodrome in a Tiger Moth, may take a few days!

Cerebral Palsy, Neurological Development Disorder, Eczema, Asthma, Long Covid, Acid/Bile Reflux (That Alien is still trying to escape from the stomach) Osteoarthritis - Hips, Back, Shoulder, EUBPD, ADHD, ASD, Depression, Anxiety, Insomnia (I Can’t Get No Sleep) basically I’m ready for taking to the vets, but I’m not ready yet! Still lots of of life, fight, spirit (Single Malt 🥃) and years ahead of me.

Anyhooo that’s me in a nutshell.
