I (politely) disagree with that last comment @Strawberry1 ๐Ÿ˜Š

You're definitely allowed to say you haven't slept well, I'm always saying that to my husband! Do you mind me asking who you live with?

From everything i've read about you and seen you're not the problem, its more the people around you being so negative to you and continually putting you down. Its no wonder you now beat yourself up so much, you've just adjusted your thinking into believing it because you hear it so often.

But believe me you are not a problem and never were.

You need to surround yourself with positivity and only people who will support you, not bully you everyday. it'll take time but you'll soon see the bright amazing and caring person we see in you on this forum and you'll feel better and your MH will improve.

my sleep pattern is non existent

on Sunday, Monday, Wednesday and Friday I am up at 4am with mum for her home dialysis, Saturday, 7am , Tuesday, Thursday 5am

I have slept in the afternoon since age 16 used to be 3pm but as I got older and iller it's normally now half 1 to 3.

As Rubin said and I said to you before strawberry it's definitely not you who's the issue, I know you quite well now over almost 3 years.

I'm sorry things are difficult at home @Strawberry1. Are you able to be in a room by yourself to have some space?

@Nightcity seems like you're dealing with a lot right now. It's wonderful that you're helping your mum but I can imagine it's very tiring. Did you get your test results back?

@Nightcity , the stresses of life i think has a big impact on our sleep .

Stress is not helpful to any of whatsoever .

I remember when i was young i fell asleep in the afternoons too .

Wish sleep problems were easier to tackle than they are .

@Rachel_Scope yes this morning at 10 ish, it's not heart failure but some oddities require further investigations in 2026. he'll phone mum tomorrow and put me on a couple of things over Christmas to control the symptoms, hoping that mums heart failure will be reversed with this ablation on 18th then she can have the kidney transplant next year.

@Strawberry1 Absolutely no thanks required it's always an absolute pleasure to spend time talking to you, I'm trying to deal with my anxiety and stress within my limited ability to do so

And this lovely post is the proof that you are NOT the problem.

I am ok honestly I'm used to it all, I'll just be happy if mum can get a normal life back thankfully if they get it right hers is reversible the type of heart failure and the kidney failure. I am just paranoid after the cardiac arrest on last attempt, but they'll sort the heart first and be sure this time before she goes back for another try with the transplant.

I'm so glad it's not heart failure @Nightcity. I hope they're able to control the symptoms whilst you wait for more tests. I really hope your mum's ablation goes well. How long will she need to stay in hospital afterwards?

    Thanks Rachel

it's a day procedure so she should be home same day, then we just have to hope it works, they stated that the cardiac arrest during march original transplant attempt was caused by atrial fibrillation speeding the pulse to insane levels and it just stopped beating. apparently it's so rare even the surgeon was shocked, so the ablations desired goal is to eliminate the AF completely, if that's successful the heart failure caused by it will start improving possibly also fully resolve THEN she can go back for kidney transplant without any risk of a reoccurrence.

Oh that's great that it's a same day procedure! The cardiac arrest must have been so scary. I really hope it's all successful so she can then have a kidney transplant.
