Christmas celebration.

Because I like poems, and because I am involved with the Community Spirit and Wellbeing Clinics, and it's kind of the same thing, I wrote this:

Community Hubs.

Hummed to the tune of Ghostbusters (ISH)

If there’s something strange going on

In your neighbourhood,

What’s going on

It’s your Community Hubs

If you’re feeling good, in your Neighbourhood

Who are you going to call, the ‘Community Hub’

They know what's going on

Even if you haven’t joined

When on holiday, it’s the place to go.

Local Community Centres and Hubs

There, set up for girls and boys

Toddlers’ groups and pre-schools as well.

They have loads and loads of toys.

Community Hubs and Centres.

Mum’s and Dad’s can come down as well

The Community Hub has Wi Fi and a library as well

Don’t feel left out as well,

Join Local Community Centres and Hubs.

So, when out on holiday

And you’re stuck on what to do

Just go down to your Community Hub.

Check out what they got,

See, if they have something, you might try

Bring it back home with you to your local Hub,

Suggest that we have this as well

At your Local Community Centres and Hubs.

So don’t just jog around the estate

Think about what’s needed to invent this space.

What you would like to see, and design it, all for free

It's your suggestion, Cos’ there community run

Puts the spirit back where it belongs.

In the community I was born.

Designed by you, run by you, for you, with you in mind.
