This video was made by Dr Sonali Shah with the support of Scope, CPAAUK and ScienceExplained. It is part of a NIHR funded project to explore access and utilization to maternity care for women with CP. It is informed by interviews with women with CP talking about barriers and facilitators experienced during pregnancy, childbirth and postnatal care.

As one of the women who took part in the study. I really hope our real life stories help medical professionals to improve their practice. As it kills me to think about women who chose not to have children due to worries of being judged or fears of pregnancy and lack of support. No one should have their choices determined by others downfalls
