Its raining here.
I just took my morning tablets and came back to my cosy warm bed for a while.
I will be having a quiet day in watching stuff I have recorded and maybe listen to a bit of music.

Bless the rain, eh @michael57! Hopefully we'll have a lovely green Spring ahead after all this rain.
Sounds nice @luvpink, what will you be watching? I'm hoping to settle down with a film or TV show tonight too. Seems like the perfect thing to do on a rainy Sunday!

Hi everyone.
This probably isn't the right place for this but I have a cuppa and I know the online community will help me feel calmer.
I have a friend I've known for almost our whole lives but we don't communicate much (we don't live nearby). Now we're both retired we've picked up again and it is lovely.
However, I just discovered that her husband had a BP of 205/107 and I know that's very serious (I've been in that boat). The GP isn't treating it with any urgency at all. I've written and suggested she doesn't something about it immediately.
I'm feeling sort of unkind for dropping a bombshell on them but I'd never have forgiven myself if something happened to him and I kept quiet. I introduced them and they've been married 40+ years. I'd rather lose their friendship than him lose his life from a stroke or heart attack.
I just feel a bit up in the air.

I'm not a medical person but that does sound high @Delphi. No wonder you're feeling a bit shaken up. Even though it might make them feel worried about it, it shows how much you care about your friends that you'd flag it to them.
Has the GP put him on anything to help bring it down? I hope he's able to get it under control soon and that things calm down.

I have asked a retired nurse and that blood pressure is too high. Needs to go to.a doctor asap.. it is very dangerous.. it is borderline a stroke.
