UC Voluntary support
I got a message today in my journal today saying the following…
I would like to offer you a monthly conversation to discuss how I can support you. We can identify things you can do to help you with whatever next steps you may wish to take – but only when you’re ready to.For example, we can talk about - developing your skills - building your confidence - the things that matter to you - potential options for the future or anything that may support your well-being going forward. This chat is voluntary for you. It will not cause us to reassess your capability for work. The amount of Universal Credit you receive will not change. I would be happy to explain more, please reply to this journal message. I will arrange to contact you at a convenient time.
Do I need to reply to them if I do not want support? I have social anxiety and struggle to leave the house and I know they will want me to go to the job centre for an appointment.

Hi @JH2021, you can ignore the message if you're not interested in what they're offering. It's all voluntary so it won't affect your benefits in any way ☺️

Thank you Rosie for your advice :)

You'll most likely get the message a second time, you are still free to ignore it.

I never replied to them, they sent me a second same message like 2 weeks ago but just ignored it again, as it says voluntary I'm hoping that's enough and they will stop messaging, I can barely walk to my local shop mind get on a public bus and go miles to a job centre.
