So my UC claim has been running smoothly with no hitches or input needed.

This morning I received a to do "check and confirm your claim details"

when i click it it just says check you claim details, check your details are correct and report any changes that come up in your to do's.

Then I click continue and it asks me if I'm still single and that i need to claim as a couple if not. Weird one i've been widowed a long time.

If this the start of a claim review or just routine ? or is this something to be concerned about. The make me so anxious.

Theres been no change in anything.

It’s a newish thing they’ve started. I had one, I just went through my claim and confirmed everything. The only thing I changed was my savings as obviously the amount in the bank varies with bills etc. Once I’d edited my savings and confirmed everything else was the same that was it. It only took me a few minutes and there were no phone calls or anything else. Like you, I initially worried as I didn’t know this was something they did but all has been fine

I had one of these randomly last year, after first claiming UC early 2022.

It was my contact details I think they wanted me to re confirm.

    Nothing happened afterwards.

Thanks hopeless that’s put my mind at ease.

Same everything was the same but money which I updated to what’s in there today submitted it all.

A few days ago I got a to do seeng if my daughter was still in college which she is full time. It said only respond if this has changed. Not sure why they are checking that and then today this one.

Maybe just checking for any changes.

I wouldn't worry too much, if you're on benefits, particularly UC, your only savings will be the crumbs the government gives you every week.

I had this at the beginning of February this year just after my UC review started (4 months bank statements etc).

I've now got another "check and confirm your claim details" to do but haven't had the UC review telephone call yet and it's been over 2 months since I submitted bank statements etc.

    Should I be worried?

Sorry to jump on here but I have the same and need to change the amount in my bank. How did you do it please? Because when it asks if the amount is correct I say no change this then it just asks me to tick the box to confirm its all correct then submit. I thought it would take me to another screen to update the amount.

I really can’t remember! Will it let you delete the amount in the box and type in a new amount before clicking confirm?

Thank you for getting back to me. No there isnt any where for me to change the amount. I'm guessing I will have to press submit and see what happens. I'm a worrier so will be panicking. I just assumed when you click no change this, it would give an option to change the amount

You could always add a note to your journal asking for help with this. Explain there is a change but you are struggling to update it?

I had one asking about my health and accessibility. The health one I started and panicked and press cancel. Which now shown on my journal. I made a note after that my health is the same. Although I have doctors appointments this week. Accessibility I did ok. Would me canceling then adding a note be OK. I thought I could redo it but it won't let me

I would think that would be fine. You’ve done your best to do what was asked of you

So what exactly happened after choosing no and clicking the submit button?
Did you get a To do list asking to change capital and savings details?
Did they ask you for bank statements?
Or did they ask you anything else?
I would much appreciate your reply

I think they usually ask for bank statements @Faz36
