International Volunteer Day - celebrating our wonderful community champions and advisors
International Volunteer Day (IVD) is held each year on 5 December and is the great chance for us to celebrate the efforts of our wonderful online community volunteers. We have 15 community champions who share their time and experience to support us all here on the community and we have 18 advisors, some of them are Scope staff and some are volunteers who share their expertise and help us all so much

Hurray!
Can I say also mega awesome shout out to you dudes at Scope. I've met some of you in real life now snd you are even more fan in real life.
Can I tell you something... I think is so awesome.?
When I popped down to London village to witness the awesome helpline people get their award....
I mentioned about the first time I'd heard of scope and called the helpline in a total mess. I just totally brain dumped everything going on and she picked up the peices and gave e me hope and a plan. She was lovely. And as the helpline is totally anonymous.... Well she was another stranger I am grateful for for kindness.
And do you KNOW WHAT HAPPENED? That, as I mentioned before, I thought was awesome.
The lady that was on the other end of the phone was there! In the room! And she didn't tell anyone.... Until my Scope contact realised and introduces us. I sobbed and sobbed on her....hopefully as she is awesome and speaks 'emotional me' language, she knew that meant wow and thank you!
But I thought that was awesome that I got to meet my person. And I never expected to get that from volunteering with Scope.
So thanks so much for having us as volunteers
It's brought amazing opportunities. From popping to London but mainly the privilege of chatting online to others. -

I do love how strong the community spirit is on here. It's inspiring and lovely to see people investing so much time and effort into supporting each other.
However life plays out, I do hope I can help contribute to the amazing work that you are doing here.
I only recently found out about this site via a friend, but would love to be involved more on a voluntary basis at the very least.
