A creative arts workshop offering the opportunity to capture precious memories, hopes and dreams for the future in beautiful handmade books and boxes.

Thursday 28th May 2026 (half term)

Chesterfield - exact location only given to those registered for safeguarding reasons. Accessible, ample parking right outside, a disabled toilet and located near Chesterfield Railway Station.

Workshop is FREE, but a £25 deposit is required to secure your place. You will receive this back upon attending. No shows do not receive a refund on their deposit (unless there are extenuating circumstances).

Lunch is included! Lunch will be a light buffet. The format is as follows:

12:00-1:15 pm - lunch and social

1:30-4:30 pm - workshop

Contributions towards travel costs can also be claimed back, depending upon where you are travelling from - more information can be found here.

Minimum age: 14 years

Maximum age: 25 years

All under-18s, and those requiring support (e.g. toileting, feeding, medical care, moving & handling etc.) MUST attend with a parent/carer/PA - this is not a respite service.

    This sounds like a thoughtful workshop, especially the idea of using creative books and boxes to preserve memories while also giving young people space to think about hopes for the future. A handmade memory project can become something meaningful to revisit years later. I recently came across Journey in Pages( https://www.journeyinpages.nl ), which focuses on memory books and personal keepsakes, and it seems quite relevant to the theme of turning important moments and stories into something tangible. The combination of lunch, social time and a hands-on creative session also sounds like a lovely way for CP teens to meet others in a relaxed setting.
