Bless you @Nightcity that's a hell of an ordeal and must have been so scary. I'm so pleased you're starting to feel hopeful. Fingers crossed your new medication kicks in soon and you start to feel better. ๐

thank you both, I've been so angry and they know I'm not letting it go, I may change surgery as the trust is now absolutely gone @Holly_Scope @Bluebell21 apparently the eye hospital is satisfied the chance of an acute glaucoma attack within a month is low but in the long term it's inevitable so they did promise 4 weeks ideally six maximum to do it.
it's typical because apparently that's also rare in Caucasian males especially under 60 years old it's almost exclusively an elderly female or Asian community condition but that's my luck for you LOL. they believe as I'm abnormally far sighted and have smaller eyes that's been underlying and likely would never ever have been an issue however a handful of medications venaflaxine being one can set it off and as it's on my records as a child as far back as 1992 it shouldn't of been prescribed.
thankfully this procedure has a 90% + success rate and I'll be no more at risk after than anyone else. ๐

I'm not surprised you've been feeling angry @Nightcity. It must have been really worrying for you. I'm just pleased you managed to get off the medication before it got any worse.
It sounds like you're coming out the other side of it now thankfully, especially with that really positive success rate. Will you keep us updated on how you're getting on?

sure.
I had to sort myself out which is absolutely plain wrong because it changed everything about me including my personality I avoid trouble and detest aggression and suddenly I was ranting and saying some absolutely evil things but yes thankfully I'm now myself again and it can only go the right way.

Thats alot to deal with nightcity and with diazpam have to be weened off very slowly sorry that you have suffered and i hope with the passing of time things become better for you much love to you and your mum
1 -
thanks the diazpam is fine it's a low dose and was separated by two weeks between courses, the venelafaxine was the problem I'm just glad to be rid of it.
that's kind mum goes back on the kidney transplant list straight after my eyes are sorted, the consultant said this morning the ablation was a success no afib, no heart failure anymore extremely unlikely for another cardiac arrest just needs one more person to clear her and alls good ๐

I would be angry too @Nightcity what a nightmare for you. You must complain once you are able to. What you went through is not acceptable.
Take care.

thanks bluebell they seems genuinely baffled to why I'm so angry and distressed even after explaining clearly how what should of been a simple one off appointment with one person and one med becoming a six week disaster involving numerous mistakes by Many people misleading and interfering or overruling the other.
you take care too ๐
2 -
Sleep will help you cope a bit better @Strawberry1 we miss you when you are not around.
Please have as much rest as you need and come on the forum only when you are able too.
I hope you will soon start to get stronger.
Please take care of yourself.
Best wishes always.

Oh @Nightcity I'm so sorry you've had to go through all of this, it's terrible. Really good to see you back here but moreso that you feel some hope of your health improving. I hope your appointment for May comes very soon and hope for early May so you've not quite as long to wait. Thinking of you and your mum and hope she continues to do well. Take very good care and all the best.

lovely to see you as always.
thanks for your kindness, means the world I'm trying not to worry about it as I can't afford the tremors to worsen again as they were so bad especially in the early hours of the morning that I lost balance consistently for the first five minutes of getting up and my arms and hands were absolutely unusable, I'm currently having just minor twitching so can't afford to rock the boat.
now I've FINALLY got my prescription for propranolol I should see a big improvement as they are to block the consistent fight or flight that's been stuck on 24/7 for 6 weeks flooding me with adrenaline.
hope you're ok.

Thank you @nightcity apart from fractured wrist couple of weeks ago after tripping over on the dog's ball and bed ๐๐ฌ๐คฃ. Just very relieved it wasn't my hip! And nothing that a world cruise wouldn't put right, or maybe not considering everything going on!
Good grief you've been through so very much my heart goes out to you. Am so glad you've got the propranolol and really hoping things become a bit easier for you very, very soon.
