Accessibility Needs

I had a message in my To-do list this morning - to fill in about my accessibility needs. I had to write in my journal that my needs weren't in the options that they gave (mostly physical needs) - but I had others (housebound due to schizophrenia).

Now I'm worried that they are asking this because they are wanting me to have an appointment. I am in LCWRA and was migrated from ESA last year. I had the message about if I wanted to look for work - but I said no thank you. So are they now getting me to fill this in because they want me to see someone about work? Or does everyone have to answer it?

Thank you in advance. I just worry so much, when I have to communicate with them.

    That's really kind of you - thank you. I panic every time they put a message in my journal, or To-do list. I know they are trying to get everyone back to work now - so wondered if this was the start of it ……….. seeing what my needs were, to have an appointment. It's probably nothing, of course - but my mind goes spiralling. Best wishes to you too.

    @Azura yup,I got one this morning too. First time. I've only been on uc since migrating over last September-November. Plus I'm in middle of a pip review so everything is a worry. I hope they don't want me to do a f-f review or something as I rarely go out myself, Twice a month an hr tops each time. And always in company with a family member who take me in their car.

    It's always such a worry, isn't it? I was migrated over from ESA last June. I left them a journal message yesterday, saying that I didn't have any of the needs they said - but that I am registered housebound. An agent replied that they had put that on my notes. So I have no idea what they are thinking. Good luck to you too.

    Thank you so much. I have Complex-PTSD also, so I know how mindfulness can be difficult. But I do try and do it as best I can. As for the singing - I sing all kinds of nonsense to my daughter's bird. He loves nursery rhymes the best.

    I never had any of this stress, when on ESA. But it's been constant worry, since they migrated me. They can change the rules whenever they want - and you always feel like you're walking a tightrope - waiting for it to be pulled away. They really do not help mental health issues.

    Though my PIP review last year was given for ten years - so hopefully I don't have to worry about that for a while (unless they change the rules on that as well).

    Hello all I had this too this morning about accessibility needs I posted in the journal that I'm LCWRA and support group so I am not interested in volunteering or anything related at this time thank you


    I hope this will be sufficient as I also posted to the payment journal message part so it will get picked up?
    I had the banner asking me volunteer work or support I clicked dismiss and then today the accessibility needs was in my to do list this morning


    can anyone advise if this what I have said is ok or not? Really worried too now

    I read somewhere this morning, while googling for answers - that the "accessibility needs" may be because they are thinking of how they will communicate with you, when the reassessments start. I am in the LCWRA because of substantial risk - and I know that this group is being lined up for reassessments soon - to see if the substantial risk still stands, or whether they can put you into the LCW group. I'm a nervous wreck, thinking of having to go through it all again.

    I am in the LCWRA support group since 2012, it was marked indefinitely at he time, so now I am very worried, my esa support group was designated by a tribunal in 2012 what makes you think that I will have to be reassessed all over again? @Azura

    also to add @Azura they know how to communicate with me via my personal details upon migration ? So why do you think this is the case I am also disabled…..

    feeling very anxious and having a flare up now I hope it's just to ask voluntary support of which I politely declined

    they can't just put you in a LCW group without assessment I'd of thought….

    LCW group would still require an assessment so I don't understand what the OP is stating here?

    It was on my report I got back, years ago now, when I was in ESA. That was the thing that put me in the support group - and then onto LCWRA, when I was migrated to UC

    I don't know about whether you will be reassessed. I was just saying about myself - being as it's my post that I initially asked for help with. If you have been marked indefinitely - then I have no idea about your specific circumstances

    Yes probably. My intitial post which started this thread, was because I was worried about why they had started to ask about my accessibility needs - and that I'd heard they were starting to reassess people who were in the LCWRA group only through substantial risk. Which is what my situation is. I have no idea about anyone else's.

    I think things have got muddled. I'm not stating anything - I was originally asking for help but nobody seemed to know. I was worried about getting the accessibility needs thing to do - as I had heard that they will be starting reassessments for people who are only in LCWRA, through the substantial risk criteria. So I was panicking, becauase that is my situation. Yours is obviously different - so I have no idea - sorry.

    @Azura @Catherine21 im sorry I got things muddled and misinterpreted what what said I think I understand now thank you for the messages sending love and hugs to you 🫶🏼 it's all change since the migration and I don't like change I put a note on the accessibility bit via journal message as I got a message flagged up the prior week for work and support which I didn't send a journal report I clicked dismiss and the banner was gone next time…. thank you again I misunderstood xxx
