None but I wear a hoody all year round so it's like jewellery for my body

I wear my wedding ring, engraved with the initials of my 7 dogs (3 passed away 2016-2017) and my mum's wedding ring since she passed away in Dec 2022. They look a little 'odd', one 18ct and one 9ct but I don't care about that. My 'latest' dog, Aloysius (2017) is not engraved yet as I can't get to the jeweller and who'll send it off anyway which I don't want to be without it. He understands I think 🤔 😊.

So my previous shih tzu Matilda was named after Natalie Portman who played Matilda in the film 'Leon' as she was very sweet but very feisty and courageous. My Matilda's favourite song was 'Diamonds are a girl's best friend' in which she sings about jewellers, including 'Tiffany's' - so Natalie-Tiffany was named as a nod, or tribute, to my Matilda.

Her sister, Scarperlina - I was going to have the boy but the boys sadly didn't survive. I was going to call the boy Scarper ( 'nicket & scarper) but because I got the girlie I thought she looked like a Scarper and I just added lina to feminise it. The girlies were born in Feb 2017 and came to us in the April. We still had Mr. Jones my 12.5 year old shih tzu who was very best friends with young Snicket then. Jonesy passed away on 9th August 2017 at home next to me in the night.

When I had Jonesy in May 2005 I was going to get the girlie but somebody else had her, she was going to be named Miss Jones, after Brigette Jones (singleton like me 🤣) so when I had the boy he was suited to be a Mr. Jones. Got some funny looks when out and about at that and being called in the vets but it did suit him. This was Mr. Jones in his 'dressing gown' ❤️💛💜...

I'm SO glad I got Aloysius @Holly_Scope I fear he'd have had many more homes otherwise and, despite his shenanigans, he's very much loved and patience got results (I think he was just very unsure of himself and his place in this world), especially after two homes before me which must have been so unsettling for such a little mite. With Snicket everything's always had to be on his terms which is fine, and always has been, with me 🫠😊. I just work around them, despite their familial relationships they're all quite different in their needs and characters. That's what make them such a joy tbh, no day is boring !!

I remember well a young man on here, I won't say his name but I remember him well from c 2 yrs ago, but from Northern Ireland with his beloved cat Basil. Have often thought of him as he was potentially facing homelessness. I have always very much hoped and prayed that things turned out ok for him, and Basil. I was 'lucky' in that my housing association were possibly just too scared to argue with me as my dogs were going nowhere apart from with me and I wasn't even debating it with them/non negotiable etc! They got the measure of me basically. Two is absolutely no difference to four, imo. Well, it is when you're unwell but needs must.

The film was 'Gentlemen prefer Blondes' 1953; Matilda was a blondie ha ha. My Jack, Matilda and Jonesy all lived to their 'natural' age I guess. I wasn't going to get any more dogs but somehow I did. Four was not really in my plan. I am glad that my grief at their loss did not stop me having more. I did know I'd lose Jonesy Bones as he had a liver tumour but he was stable for the 18 months from diagnosis until he passed away and I'm glad for him that he went at home where he was very much loved and, most importantly, that he knew it. The demise of our pets evolves (in my experience) over time, naturally for the most part, and the many years of pure joy and love overrides that, if we let it.
