Do You Have A Piece Of Jewellery You Wear Everyday?💎💍

I was inspired by @Mr_Shoes_Tied discussion on watches and ended up thinking thought about the accessories we wear everyday.

I have a ring on my left middle finger that I wear everyday which is 98 years old so far! It was a present to my great grandmother on her 16th birthday and then she passed it down to her daughter who is my nan on her 16th birthday and so on!

I also have lots of little piercings in my ears (helix, conch, tragus etc) and a small nose ring that I always wear because I forget they're there most of the time😂

Do you have a piece of jewellery you wear everyday? And if so, does it have a sentimental reason or just because you like it?

I don't tend to wear jewellery while I'm at home, but if I'm going out I almost always wear gold hoop earrings. They almost feel like a uniform for me now and I feel a bit off if I forget to put them in!

If I'm feeling nervous about going somewhere I'll wear my great grandma's rings for comfort. But I get a bit scared I'll lose them while out and about so I don't do it too often! I love the idea of wearing sentimental jewellery and having things passed down. It's nice to feel like someone else is there with you even in a small way.

I wear my wedding ring which was my great grandma's, and my engagement ring which was my grandma's. I also have to wear stud earrings constantly because even after a night of not wearing any, my left ear piercing will heal up!

None but I wear a hoody all year round so it's like jewellery for my body

Nope, unless you count hearing aids in both ears.

Although as a Star Trek fan you could argue I have 3 ears, a left ear, right ear and a final front ear! gets coat

I don't really wear much jewellery. I have one ring that was given to my by my great aunt that I tend to wear more than anything. Wish I was a bit more girly sometimes 😅😊

That's really sweet that you have honoured your dogs on your ring… Sorry to hear about the 3 that you've lost but it's a nice remembrance.

Aloysius is an interesting name. Is there a story behind it?

Aww he is so adorable @Santosha12 - like butter wouldn’t melt! It’s often the case with smaller dogs isn’t it. They like to make themselves known lol. He seems to have settled in well and what a lovely thing to do to take in a preloved doggo!

So is it 4 you have now? I bet they keep you on your toes! Snicket is a cool name too. Is there a meaning for all of their names?

Thanks for taking the time to respond @Santosha12 🤗

Oh wow! I just thought you meant he was preloved, not that you bought him from there! I’m shocked someone posted a pet on there but glad you stumbled across it and got him!

Aww yay! I’m glad you held out. The rules have recently changed about pets too thankfully. I used to see a lot of people on Facebook struggling to find accommodation because they had pets which was really sad.

Oh gosh, I’m so sorry to hear about Jack, Matilda and Mr. Jones (Jonesy). Mr Jones looks like such a cheeky pup in that picture. It must have been incredibly difficult it happening so unexpectedly too. That’s one thing that absolutely petrifies me about getting a dog as much as I desperately want one to give lots of love too!

I don’t think I’ve seen that film but love that song. Marilyn Monroe sang it in a film originally didn’t she? I really like the name Scarperlina, it’s really unique.

Sorry for the delay replying @Santosha12

Yes – You’re probably right about him being moved over again - you did an amazing thing looking after him and it sounds like he’s settled in well with the rest of the troop too 😊

I think I remember him too. Was there a picture of the cat in the garden on one of the posts? I hope he’s doing ok. I’m pleased the rules have changed now, but to think of all the people who’ve had to deal with this before is awful.

Of course. I’ve seen that film a while ago… must watch it again! Marilyn is so iconic. It makes me sad to think about her life. She seemed so fragile.

I guess you couldn’t ask for much more really than them living to their natural age. And I’m sure they’d want you to take other dogs under your wing and give them a better life. Matilda is super adorable! 😍
