    @Adrian_Scope I was :) Brazil are looking better right now though and have momentum, I feel concerned. Japan’s vibrancy has diminished a little, could be due to awe. Japan maybe playing the history rather than the present because this is not a vintage Brazil team. Japan should be running them ragged the way they do to other countries

    A real shame for Japan. Japan looked inhibited to me, they looked like they were playing the history of Brazil rather than the present. This is not a great Brazil side and are there for the taking. Japan should have outrun Brazil and relentlessly pressed and counter pressed like they do when they play other teams. They’ve really let themselves down there, a real shame. I don’t think Brazil played particularly well, I think Japan played within themselves and it’s cost them. Really sad

    Wow, Paraguay and Morocco both through on penalties! Germany and Netherlands out! The knock-out stages just got serious.

    Very disappointed for Japan last night. I actually fell asleep 2 minutes before the end of the Germany v Paraguay extra time, so missed all the pens. 😡

    6pm (BST): Ivory Coast (@66Mustang and @cityjacko) v Norway (@andrewkuk)

    10pm (BST): France (@wrighty08) v Sweden (@yellowpineapple84)

    2am (BST): Mexico (@spb and @danish) v Ecuador (@Viran007 and @juliehall)

    Any predictions? France seems like the only safe bet!

    I'm going to predict Norway, France, and Ecuador to win. Possibly the first and last games decided by penalties.

    I predict Ivory Coast, France and Ecuador to win. After last night though anything could happen. I could do with an early night though so hope only one goes to extra time.

    Will not be watching at 2am.
