How is your day going?

18th August and finally a break in the weather - the overcast conditions and cooling breeze is wonderful.

I nipped into town but I couldn't get through the main street due to the amount of tourists.
It was the same in my local pub.
I managed to get a seat to have one drink and it was absolutely heaving.
The queue in the supermarket on my way home was right back through the shop.
I'm looking forward to watching the soaps later.

Had to stop on the return leg with Gus to put a fifth layer on, the summer is slipping away for sure!

Went shopping, found 50p in the car park, threw it in my giant money jar when I got home. Now eating roast chicken with a tomato and smoky paprika stock with mixed vegetables, it's really good. Also enjoying a glass of 7UP pink lemonade.

It is certainly getting dark earlier and cooler in the evening.

I wish I only felt cooler tonight! It's funny, because just as I got my waterproof on (the fifth layer), I passed a lovely house by the sea, and the 60+ owner was sat in his hot tub! There was no wife tonight though.
He owns a hot tub business, so maybe he likes to advertise in the evening? His back garden is right on a public path, and all in sundry stare at him and her!

It is possible that they are exhibitionists? I go past eyes front, but usually one of them calls out, they appear to be a very friendly couple.
They have a large sign above the hot tub, in a surfboard shape, stars and stripes coloured, it reads "We don't skinny dip, we chunky dunk!".

Perhaps they are advertising their hot tub business, as you said in your earlier post.

Ended up in Leeds after changing buses at Heckmondwike. Long ride from Hecky to Leeds but worth it for the different scenery. Came back via Bradford and Huddersfield. If no rain on Friday planning Keighley via Huddersfield and Bradford and back.

Good morning everyone. Had some rain in the night which has watered my plants thank goodness. Sun out at the moment though not too warm yet. Have a nice day everyone and take care.

What did you get up to in Leeds @Johnboy412000?

That's a great sign, they sound like they have a great sense of humour and outlook on things. Not sure I'd be sat chunky dunking next to a public foot path but appreciate the spirit of those that can!

Morning everyone.
I had a little sprinkle of rain in the night and the grass already looks much happier.

I went to the supermarket this morning and it was pleasantly quiet.
I'm having a restful day because I'm really exhausted from lack of sleep.
Its cooler here today.
It rained overnight but not today.

Good morning. It's a damp start to the day here and rained in the night. Nothing major though. Light showers for most of the day. Hope you all have a nice day and take care.
