I am a 53 year old Christian man who has suffered with General Anxiety Disorder for 28 years. I also have bad eye floaters which are SO annoying when reading.

Hi @Nigelartist
Welcome to the community, take a look around and jump in!
Is there a diagnosis around eye floaters? My family were talking about them recently and we werent sure what the cause is and if anything can be done about them.1 -
I have been told that floaters are debris in the eyeball. I went to Birmingham Eye hospital last year and they told me nothing can be done.Sam_Scope said:Hi @Nigelartist

Hello @Nigelartist and welcome to the community.
Overall the information is correct and in general they will not be treated. However there times when you should seek medical help as soon as possible.- A sudden increase in the number of floaters
- Flashes of light
- A loss of side vision
- Changes that come on quickly and get worse over time
- Floaters after eye surgery or eye trauma
- Eye pain
@Sam_Scope the problem can be more noticeable in certain light. One suggestion is to move the eyes around, which moves the vitreous around and possibly 'out of sight'.1
