Hi, my name is Niksig!

I am 28 and live in West Yorkshire. I have a 6 year old son who has recently been diagnosed with asd, a communication disorder and dyspraxia.
I've been meaning to join for a while but Ive been so nervous. 
Look forward to getting to know some of you

    Just looking for some tips really, Corey is easy going really but lately he's been hurting himself by slapping and biting. I think something is going on at school because everytime I talk to him about it he stutters and starts slapping himself again it's hard to see him getting so anxious

    @Niksig hi does your son get support at school with his communication issues?

    Hi debbie,
    Yes he goes into a different classroom a couple of times a week and works with one of the speech therapists. He seems to really enjoy it =) we have another anp meeting with the senco and teacher after the Easter break so hoping they can give us a bit more info on what he's been doing.

    Good luck . I’ve found that the kids I work with aren’t usually able to say what is bothering them but the people around them can observe and pick up on the triggers. It could be anything so don’t worry too much. The calmer you are the safer your child will feel.
