i was getting DLA for several years but it was stopped in November 2014 ...i applied for PIP but was turned down so i have gone through all the procedure and was finally awarded PIP by the tribunal that was over five weeks ago ..last week i spent a total of three hours being put on hold by various departments trying to get an update on my award i finally spoke to the correct department ..i was told my award was being looked at by a senior member of staff and that he would make a final decision within the next two to three weeks which led me to believe that the tribunal ruling could be overturned by the DWP instead of explaining to me that the DWP had the right to appeal.. all very confusing and de stressing.

Hello @Bonny and a warm welcome to the community. Sorry if it has taken a while to get back to you - we seem a little short of people today.
You need, in fact, to have input from one of our benefits specialists, rather than myself, so if you can bear with us they will be in touch with you as soon as possible.
I am really sorry that this is distressing to you, as it has to be, and can only hope it will help when I say that you are not, now, alone, and that - here - you matter.
Here and listening.
Warmest best wishes,
Richard -
Hi Bonnie and welcome
The DWP have 28 days to ask for a statement of reason from the judge, they then have a further 28 days in which to lodge an appeal which they can only do on an error in law.
If they have asked for an SoR then you should have been notified
You can ring the Tribunal clerk and ask if this has been done
The DWP normally put a tribunal award into patment 5-8 weeks
