Tomorrow, Scope will be appearing on BBC One’s Rip Off Britain to highlight the experience of disabled passengers on trains. Far too often, inaccessible transport stops disabled people from enjoying the same opportunities as everyone else.

I hate it when people don't give up their seats for the disabled on trains. Train guards turn a blind eye to avoid arguments. Great Western Railway and Southern are the worst culprits.

Interesting little feature on telly this morning but really didn't tell us anything we didn't already know. One good tip was to block the doors from closing and that way you're guaranteed to attract attention because the train won't go. Pity that we're seen to be more of a nuisance than anything else though.

I would avoid Basingstoke to Weymouth if you're disabled and Eastbourne to Ashford.

My friend and I are doing this - we have created Disability Access Guides, and part of it is Disabled Travel. We evaluate stations for disabled access.

Bearsted is the best station in Kent for people with disabilities as there is a lift to both platforms, so you can get up to the footbridge, go across, and lift down again.
