Hi, my name is Claire and I have a few health issues, my main health issues are M. E and fibromyalgia, 2 invisible illnesses, it has been a long and arduous journey so far, I just wouldn't accept that I was disabled ,! The strongest take charge woman that I ever met was suddenly unable to get out of bed or take care of myself or my house or anything really, i hasten to add that I have been accepting of my life as it is today, not easy but preferable anyway sorry if I've waffled look forward to hearing from you x
Hi @Claire61 I suffer from a moderate form of M.E too so I can very much empathise. Its so tricky having an invisible illness as so many people don’t understand. I don’t know how much you’ve investigated the illnesses but I would recommend checking out the Optimum Health Clinic as they have some really resourceful videos on YouTube and on their website which have helped me understand the illnesses and given me a lot of hope. I hope you find that you’re not alone on this community
Hi @Claire61, I can certainly understand where you are coming from with your view on been told that you are now Disabled, those of us who are not born with our Disabilities often struggle to accept that our life will no longer be as it was. (I don't wish to offend those who are born with a Debilitating Condition, as you do only know what life is like as a Disabled person and we all struggle with our condition, but I mean no disrespect I was trying to say those that have led a active life, It is hard and it is a bitter pill to swallow) But the fact you have come here Claire means you will no longer need to struggle on your own. As we are a very friendly bunch here and you can ask anything and someone will endeavour to help you out. So I'm sending you a Big welcome Hug, and a Happy to See you Smile in this message, I hope to have more chat's with you later Claire have a nice day and I'm Happy to hear from you. 😊😉👍
