Hi to everyone in the community.I have come on here for some advice Firstly  six months ago i recieved the dreaded esa50 form which i sent back along with all the medical evidence and not yet heard anything back.I am already in the support group and still on dla as i have not as yet been invited to claim pip. However my problem is this I have Hiv .epilepsy copd and mental health i am diagnosed with personality disorder.i am 57yrs old and have selfharmed since a teenager. However i have not self harmed in recent yrs .But my depression and anxiety runs deep within me and the continouse assessments and the thought of the pip form coming through the post is causing me so much stress i have stopped taking my hiv medication and recent bloodtest have shown the virus is again building up and detectable as i would rather die than live a life of humiliation.this has ofcause upset my hiv specialist. But unfortunatly i have done many mad things suicidally in my life and all  this benefits business is returning me to my old self and no mental health worker has ever made a difference as its difficult for me to carry on when some people are trying to help me but on the other hand the dwp assessments or even just waiting for the next form is destroying me.i am at a loss.

Hi chihuahua and a big welcome to the Scope community and sorry to hear about your problems . I an in the same situation as you. I had the form through the other day and know that I've got that long wait for the outcome.  Tell me if I'm wrong but didn't they say they are going to stop or at least slow down the amount of assessments we get because of the reason you are in? I'm shore that was the case a couple of years ago.

There was an announcement last year that those that are currently in the Support Group only, may not have to be re-assessed again after the next re-assessment. To be placed into the severe conditions group where assessments will be turned off there's criteria for this and not everyone will fit this group. It totally depends on your conditions. https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/employment-and-support-allowance-and-universal-credit-changes-to-the-work-capability-assessment/employment-and-support-allowance-and-universal-credit-changes-to-the-work-capability-assessment-from-29-september-2017
If you are placed into this group then you'll be told after your next re-assessment, until this happens you'll continue to be re-assessed as normal.

I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. I have all notifcations turned off and wouldn't want a member thinking i'm being rude by not replying.
If i see a question that i know the answer to i will try my best to help.

Sorry my friend I feel for you too and all I want to do is just call it a day and die, as I to suffer with Major Mental health conditions and they are being ignored over this exemption.

edited to add: I was waiting since June after sending ESA50 back to Maximus and decided after three months and got someone to phone them and sort it which it was in August.

Just had my ESA result Paper based and that completely ignoring all my physical and life long, degenerative condition (s) which was how I got into the Support Group in 2014 and used evidence I'd sent in to back everything up and detailing I'm not going to improve and never be able to work.

On my assessment report ESA85A from 2014 it clearly states ( deterioration function noted) and because of my physical conditions I was placed in the SG for 3 years. No mental health where used.

Now what don't make sense I spoke with the DWP again today to get the new ESA85A as I diden't recieve it the last one I ask for, I then ask the lady the question again how is it I was put back in the SG for 2 years, she said it was because of my mental health nothing to do with my physical condition (s) how the hell when it's stated ( deterioration in function noted) etc on my last assessment and this was backed up with all the evidence I sent in before plus all new stuff.

They've totally ignored all my physical disability's COPD etc. I know full well this time I should have been put in the exemption group.

I have documented evidence that that I will never improve but they feel to carry on tormenting us with these assessments when they know full well I can never be well or work again. I had my PIP and they have justified everything and gave me on-going award.

How they decide this **** is beyond me they just like to punish us for being this way and drain.

I highlighted everything that's wrong with this country from benefits, NHS, UC etc, but now we have to put up with the hate now that is the Tories.

I would like to thank everyone for there replys.I guess i'll have to wait who knows how long for my reply from the esa.I have already started making notes for when i get the dla to pip letter And will tell my specialist that they must include in the letter that i am a severe danger to myself As the last time i attempted suicide [details removed by mod] which at the time was a full scale medical emergency. As my suicide attempts at that time were very extreme. So if my doctors advise i am a danger to myself hopefully all will be well.I was thinking if i was called for a f2f assessment i would take an overdose on the day of my assessment. The reason i thought of this is because of all the questions that have been asked by assessors around suicide.and should they dare ask me such questions i would [details removed by mod] in front of him/her .And see what they have to say about that as the stress at the time will be so great in me theres no saying what i will do But apart from me my heart goes out to all disabled people phisically and mentally that are going through hell goodluck to us all
