Evening all, I'm new here and I have a variety of health problems. But what I wonder is do any of you get angry at yourself for feeling low and depressed because you know there are people who have it much worse than you out there and you don't diserve to wallow? I have probably put that really badly, but I get so mad at myself and have no self compassion.

Hello @Kat81 Pleased to meet you welcome.

Thank you for joining and sharing.  I think your opinions many of the community probably can identify with.

I am one. The reason why I have joined here is yes I have mental health and disability.

Have bad days, yet can and do wish to offer my support to many like my self. With words of comfort and offer any wisdom.

All depends what conditions you have. I would advise first of identifying what makes you angry.

Do you need to address that ?  A gentleman being caring  and concerned.

One of the main big reasons joined mental health charities is the sign posting of coping with your emotions, feelings and being aware of your frailties.

Last one most Wednesdays in the month had training. This was not only for the support workers but  clientele.

Involved looking at relaxation techniques, sleep, medication. Lifestyle choices no lecturing. Learning and education being the part of a group of people who were similar.

Advise on anger and emotion, feelings. Speaking open and honest it is all part of the illness or disability .  I used these tools normally in form of hand outs and leaflets. I have them on and in binders.

All the support I have had are ladies and that took a lot to get use to. Yet I had to accept what is happening. We all need guidance.

If the help is there and you have take the chance and try to improve yourself mentally. Also physically plenty of information and support but it is finding the right support.

Good reason to be here as a new community member.

Please ask the community to advise or how can we help.?

We are a supportive, friendly community. Care and share.

    Please take care

    Pleasure to meet you

    Hi @Kat81
Welcome to the community. You are amongst friends here and I would like to say that you have every right to feel however you want about your health issues. Try not to be so hard on yourself. I know that is easier said than done sometimes!
