Hi, I joined this evening. I have been searching google most of today for a local art group for the disabled, with no luck! I couldn’t even find any type of disabled group near me. Scope came up in one of my searches and I decided to join.

I have read the Community Guidelines but it seems to be lacking some information, particularly regarding certain forum functionality, e.g.
- How do I use Saved Drafts?
- Why can't I see a link to 'My drafts' in my profile page?
- How do I create a forum 'signature'?
- Where do I find the different smileys/emojis that I see others using?
- How do I Private Message someone?
- Can I contact an administrator/moderator by PM?
You get the picture?Thank you kindly.Resident joker - not to be taken too seriously ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ -

Sorry you've had to figure out some of these yourself. Perhaps we can look at putting together a basic guide to the use of some of these functions.
You can find the saved drafts here - https://community.scope.org.uk/drafts
Once you save a comment as a draft, it'll appear there.
Many of our members access the community via mobile device, which of course allows them to use their device's own extensive range of emojis.
We tend to recommend contacting an administrator/moderator via email (community@scope.org.uk)

Hi everyone I'm Tammy, I have recently joined this lovely online community as a community champion and I'm enjoying getting to know alot of different people from all over. What was your reason for joining us here at scope? Come say hello. I hope everyone is safe and well.

Hello, I'm Annie's Mum, she has got CRPS in her leg and it is spreading downwards, I wish I knew what to say or do to comfort her. I feel at a loss about the benefit system and the hoops you have to jump through, only last week she was told that she needs to pull herself together! when will they get it? The mental anguish it causes her turns into agonising physical pain. I look forward to chatting with you.

Hi I'm new but also old
-
Hi to everyone, hoping this is where I introduce myself. I've just joined the site, I'm very familiar with both SCOPE and the M.E. Association as my adult son has mild Cerebral Palsy and some learning difficulties and my adult foster son (23 yrs old) is diagnosed with M.E. but I had his bloods tested in Germany early last year which showed him to be positive for both Lyme disease and the horrendous co-infection of Bartonella. The NHS Lyme test is notoriously unreliable and as expected his NHS Lyme test came back negative so NHS will not treat him or investigate and as my only income is my state pension I cannot afford private treatment. He is very, very ill with lots of mental health issues, we have had to go through the mental health route who are now saying that it's anger issues and he has to learn to control his anger which is impossible as he has no control whatsoever over his impulses caused by the Bartonella. .At my wits end, have been for many years.
