thespiceman said:Hello @pollyanna1052 Thanks very much . For comments. I just want to say I am not.
Never been on this all information and snippets, titbits gathered all those years as a collector of all sorts of things.
When you start moving around in the social circles of meeting collectors. Many always have useful interesting stories and share their knowledge.
As well as meeting many times. Music people. Not the main ones but the back ground crews, the cutting crews, the back up singers. Of music and film.
Then sometimes meet people who were there at the very start of music and film.
Had the connections to Elvis for one example. Met a few of his songwriters.
The same with my trips to Liverpool in the Eighties met so many wonderful people and collectors.
Every one in Liverpool of a certain age has a Beatles or a Mersey beat story.
You forget films and TV today multi billion dollar industry. .
Who then and continue to do so spent a lifetime obsession try to get the series of a TV programme. Viewed as entertainment in the Sixties.
Then either wiped or destroyed or just tossed out into the skip.
This included Dr.Who. The Prisoner, The Saint, The Avengers and so on.
Top of The Pops whole years have been wiped. From the Sixties. Most of Dusty Springfield's series has been wiped.
Thanks to them we have and can enjoy the programmes once again.
I have attended film fairs and much more. Often the stars of long forgotten. Sci-Fi films and animation. Would turn up just to be amazed and stunned to talk to these people.
I have an interest in Soul Music.
Northern Soul Stax label and Motown.
Met a few of the lesser know stars. Edwin Starr lived in the UK.
In the Nottingham area. Used to visit with a former friend. Who was a DJ was actually a record producer worked with the early days of Radio . Radio 1 .
Then you go to Blackpool and meet people. Those interest in Soul music is fascinating . Used to do the all nighters as they were called in the Sixties and Seventies.
At mecca venues like Wigan Casino or The Spoked Wheel Manchester.
The Palace Blackpool with its moving dance floor.
I used play at school trombone and this got me interested in Big Band, Swing, Jazz and got me meeting those people.
After school. Carried on. For a while.
The more music knowledge is obtained and you just spend times with people sharing.
You have these put away in your memory banks your filing cabinet. Some have written down before.
Take care.

Hello @pollyanna1052 Hope you getting educated?
As Sir Ken Dodd says very witty. I am very educational. When people talk to me well that taught me a lesson.
I know and do have this dry sense of humour.
Hard life being an entertainer you know well should on the stage .
Sweeping it. lol.
Once did a show and no one clapped ever. Except this lad in the corner. At the end of the show said buy you a drink no laughed or clapped except you.
Well I am the caretaker want to get a move on so I can lock up and go home. lol..
Yes I know you were just thought throw that in to the melting pot.
I think I am one of these people whose mind is always got something to add or speak.
Either helps with my anxiety or just helps .
Maybe might be the spices there is a thought for you. Is it Curry did have one last night and this morning for Breakfast. Any left overs
Some of it. Does give you a boost and feel great.
I have not even started on the foodie ones yet. Keep you in suspense.
Hope you having a lovely weekend.
Glorious here. Gets windy I live on the top of hill. Open Windows like living in a windtunnel.
Often hang on to the arm of my leather suite lol.
Take care.

Newton took it a step further and made a concave mirror that focused the light at a certain distance from the mirror, he then used another lens to look at the focused light ray and found to that his method enlarged viewed objects from far away...........these scopes are named after him.......Newtonion scopes.

Hello @Chloe_Scope Not many people do. I used to collect Elvis Presley Memorabilia.
Had a extension built on a home I was living in to accommodate the collection included. Records, books and much more.
Got a lot of stuff. Then I had and met those collectors who willing to pay vast sums and got into contact with them.
Became an obsession.
Unfortunately I also started running a business as well dealing everything collectable. The weird and wonderful.
Painful to say had to dispose of the lot. For financial reasons.
Met this time and have happy memories of those collectors. The stories the tales the experiences.
Could be another post here. The most unusual collections.
Thanks very much.
