I have multiple health problems and I am registered disabled. I am currently still working full time as a Respiratory Clinical Nurse Specialist in a busy city centre hospital on a mobility scooter to get me around the hospital and some other adaptations in place.

Hi @TracyP3003 - I'd like to also add my welcome into this community, & thank you for joining. What an inspiring introduction!
I used to work as a physio rather a long time ago & have worked alongside some lovely nurses. The very best one I ever met, however, was after I'd stopped working. Our youngest daughter had a tracheotomy at one week old. That night a nurse came on duty, & said she couldn't believe on her first night back following a severe RTA, which meant she herself had had a trache, that she was looking after a baby from the same village as herself, who also had a trache. She was so immensely supportive & taught me the nursing procedures so I could completely look after our daughter.
Our family has the genetic disorder of the hypermobile type of Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome combined with Chiari 1 Malformation I later found. Just wondering what health issues you are also facing, if you don't mind me asking?
This is a very friendly & supportive community. I'm also very pleased to have 'met' you.

Thanks for the lovely welcome to the group. I do enjoy my job and it is my sanity at times especially when things are tough. My health issues are severe, difficult to manage asthma, Bi-lateral tracheobronchomalacia, adrenal Insufficiency, Insulin dependent diabetes, hypermobility, osteoarthritis, osteopenia, osteoporosis, anxiety, depression, allergies and unknown anaphylaxis. My adrenal insufficiency, diabetes, osteopenia and osteoporosis have been caused by the high dose long term steroids I have to take but without themI May not be here. ?

Thank you for sharing @TracyP3003 - I can identify with hypermobility, which in my case led to osteoarthrosis, & understand the long term effects of high dosages of steroids that you need have lead to some of the difficulties you're now facing.
Have you looked into your hypermobility; if it might be due to Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, or a related disorder such as the now-called Hypermobility Spectrum disorder? Common allergies & unusual sensitivities are at least a feature of EDS, as is Mast cell activation disorder, which may be of particular interest to you.. Perhaps look around our UK's EDS website which discusses both disorders. See: https://www.ehlers-danlos.org/
My apologies if this may be something you've already looked at, but mentioning just in case.
Great to read you enjoy your job, whilst gritting your teeth at times, etc.
Just come here to chat/offload whenever you wish; you're always most welcome.
