Just because we seldom hear positive results I thought I would share my wifes PIP story. and give hope to anyone making a claim for PIP
She was awarded PIP for the first time in november 2017. Initially standard care and enhanced mobility. After a paper based tribunal she was awarded enhanced for both. As this was awarded by tribunal her benefit came to an end in november 2019. We reapplied and went for a f2f on 9th of november. Today, 6th december, she received her award letter giving her enhanced for both components for an ongoing period.
Sometimes the DWP do get it right. Our experiance was straight forward and reletively painless. It is most important to understand the criteria for an award and give examples of how you are affected in performing each

Thank you for letting us know.
Nice to see the DWP getting it right -
Lovely to hear and read your positive result, all f2f assessments are not bad news. Great news just before Christmas. Have a good one.

@CockneyRebel brilliant news! i love hearing good news, especially because most of the stories we read are bad ones. You can both relax now knowing it's all over for the next 10 yearsI would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. I have all notifcations turned off and wouldn't want a member thinking i'm being rude by not replying. If i see a question that i know the answer to i will try my best to help.

My story also has a good ending, but the anxiety in the wait time and the assessment go off the wall.
It is good to post positive stories too.
My award is also for 10 years. Phew...at 67, with a chronic disability and facing hospital admission next Sunday, I needed good news.
