Welcome to the community @icarus! Sounds like you can get quite creative with bits and pieces! What's been the best thing you've created from old parts so far?

Hi @icarus - Welcome to the community & thank you for joining. It's a pleasure to read your (mainly) very positive post....you seem to have adapted & overcome so much, & also seem mechanically minded which has helped!
I'm sorry to read you're also now in pain. Perhaps see your GP, or if you see any specialists, I would think this new pain worth mentioning, to see if there's anything they can suggest that might help you.

Hi @icarus and welcome. It sounds like you’re pretty handy!
Have you spoken to anyone about the pain you’ve been experiencing?

    Hi @icarus

    Welcome to our online community/family.

You sound like a good handyman & it’s great to hear ? that you keep yourself very busy.

Yes “Pain” can become very very difficult for us.

I am also trying a “Tens Machine” for my 24/7 Chronic Pain.

@icarus - I appreciate that some meds cause sedation; I've been there too, & came off those that affected me that way. You're definitely helping yourself by looking at weight loss.....very wise, as too much weight puts additional stress on your joints. But the pain you have 'might' be less with some meds that don't cause sedation, so perhaps worth discussing such options with your GP.
Your mindset is great; but hope if there was a way to get your pain under control it would better help you.
Have been like you; keep something as it might come in handy in the future, but you can't keep everything!
As @Cressida said, you're posts are, 'like a breath of fresh air,' & 'interesting,' so please keep in touch.

    Hi @icarus

Yes “Pain” is very very tiring I have to take things easy “hour by hour, minute by minute”

Yes we need to keep active during the day.

Mind you we need to be careful not to over do things.

I don’t know about eating my “P45” though!!!!!!!

    “Keep up the good work”

    @steve51
