    I remember bobby as England manager .... when they nearly got to the final and gazza was in tears and bobby consoled him ...... bobby was a great manager and a true gent !

    Well she was at a game and called ipswich and fans “ scum” which didn’t go down well think she’d had a tipple or two !!

    Hi @WestHam06, thank you for your response.  I hope you are well.  Re the World Cup, I enjoy a lot of the matches with France, Germany, Spain competing as they seem really good teams from what I can see with my limited knowledge of football!  However, the matches that I have always followed have been the Scotland v England matches even although often it has been very painful to watch us Scots being defeated, lol!  My hubby is a big Celtic fan so I'm a bit more genned up now about football since meeting him!  :smiley:

    Guys and girls what are your best football memories I would say Arsenal related being there to see Arsenal beat Barcelona 2-1 

    None club related memory being in Spain in 2010 when they won the world cup  was a madness

    Welcome to the thread @Tractorgirlali. While I'm a Gunner, Ipswich has always had a place in my heart as we beat you 5-1 at Portman Road in the first match I ever went to see! :lol:

    Definitely. It was a cracking introduction that gave me completely unrealistic expectations and convinced me that Ray Parlour was one of the best players in the world. (That never changed!)

    Flores looks like a good talent. I try not to get too excited about the youth products coming up, but I can't help it with the current batch (Smith Rowe, Nketiah etc.)
