For me VAR has completely taken the controversy and excitement out of football.  Don't get me wrong, in the past, there have been some clear and obvious catastrophic mistakes made by referees, Maradona handball World Cup 1986 springs to mind, but VAR takes decisions to the extreme. Being offside by a millimetre, does that really give a player an advantage? Also, I think the main reason I am not a fan is because of the inconsistencies of it, a decision will be given one way and then a very similar decision will be given the other way. When West Ham played at Sheffield United this season, we were denied a equaliser in the last minute due to VAR and yet in another Premier League game a similar incident occurred and the goal was given. Now we played poorly that night but were robbed in my opinion. Ultimately, it is still a human being making the decision, they are just having more time and different angles to view things and at the end of the day, as humans, we will all view things differently. For me football was better without VAR, worth a try but hasn't worked and the concept of it is a good idea, though I don't think it is going anyway anytime soon. Thank you.

Definitely agree with that @WestHam06. It's too imperfect to be worth losing the nuances of the game over. But it's in now and I don't reckon we'll be saying goodbye to it.

What do we think should be done with the season?

It's a really difficult one. Obviously as an avid fan, I'd love to see the season finished but I think you have to be practical and realistic.  It is probably fairer to void the season and hopefully start afresh in August. I think if they pursue its going to be a difficult one, I heard today that Kante may not return to Chelsea this season due to his concerns about the virus. Now that is completely understandable but is it fair on either him or Chelsea, not that I'm overly bothered about Chelsea :) If Chelsea play without him, the question will be could they have faired better if they were playing with him in the team? I know that if the decision were mine I would end the season now, declare Liverpool winners, and give any teams with games in hand a point each, then leave that as the end standings, though I know there are many contradictions to doing this, that's why there not :)  It's fairer if all leagues void the season. In the great scheme of things, with all that is going on as Jurgen Klopp said 'Football is the most important of the least important things'. Thank you.

I reckon in the interests of fairness (and winding up the Scouse) the season should be voided. In truth, I'm not so bothered about who wins (it's pretty clear who's taking the Premier League after all) but instead about what poor buggers end up relegated by committee.

As long as we get that trophy, void away! :D

It probably is the fairest option, however it looks set to be returning. I heard about the schedule of how games may be played, but I don't want to get to optimistic as quite rightly the health and safety of all must be priority. I agree about how difficult this must be for teams in the lower leagues and those facing relegation. Hopefully we will know more soon. Thank you.

I think it'll be a close game. You're both used to playing in very quiet stadiums :D:D

Obviously, I'll lending my support to the Gunners!

These are the two outstanding postponed fixtures. Being played first to bring every club up to 29 games. That's the reason they've been chosen for the restart
Yep! I would have accepted an automatic draw!

    Hi Everyone,
Hope you are all well. Just wondering what people thought of sharing their predictions of scores of any matches which are of interest to you. Please let me know your thoughts on this. Thank you.

    Hi @Adrian_Scope
Definitely not an easy game to return to. I too think it will be a close game and I'll be cheering the Gunners on! Thank you.

Definitely. Sounds like a good idea @WestHam06. These matches will be coming thick and fast, so perhaps we could even make a little competition out of it, with the person who gets the most correct scores getting a custom-made community badge. Just a thought!

I'm not quite as confident that it'll be close at all, but maybe we'll get lucky.

I'm up for that. My predictions are notoriously bad but it could be fun.

    Hi @Adrian_Scope
I really like the sound of making a fun competition to see who can get the most correct scores and how many results the get correct. I also really like the idea of making a custom made community badge, please if it is possible could you explain how this may be able to come about. It is a great suggestion :) Thank you.

Hi @WestHam06. Leave the badge to me, I'll get it sorted.
Any thoughts on how the competition would work?

    Hi @Adrian_Scope
Thank you for sorting the badge, greatly appreciate it. My thoughts on how on the competition could work are; someone (perhaps we could take it in turns) posts what the games are over the two days  the day before (so for Tues/Wed games- Monday and Sat/Sun games- Sunday) then people can choose the games they want to guest, though to maximise points all would make sense. All guests must be made prior to kick off. For each correct score, the individual gains a point. I think then there are two options either we all keep our own scores and then say at the end of the season or we make a table and update it on a weekly basis. Please let me know if you have any thoughts. Thank you.

Don't know how it will work further down the football pyramid. Since they didn't finish their season, whether there will be any promotions and relegations.
