Hey there @Milts. I'm glad you've found us!
Would you like to tell us a bit about yourself?
The coffee lounge has a nice and relaxed atmosphere and it's a great place to start getting to know everybody if you're interested. -
Hi @Milts - Welcome to this friendly & supportive community. Thank you for joining, & wanting to be involved. I'm sure you'll enjoy being part of this, & you'll fit right in.

Wow. What a wonderful welcome! I'm here because I'm passionate about equality for all. I have I guess been held back all my life by mental illness and I was never empowered as a child. I work with children in my current job as a teacher and I also volunteer with the elderly and in both cases, it is my primary goal to empower them and get them to believe that they can achieve anything. So I would really like to support this charity and it's community in any way I can. And I already feel supported just by being here!

Hi @Milts Welcome to the community from me too its great to have you with us. We welcome any support you can offer and also extend that support to you.
I look forward to seeing you around

What age children do you teach @Milts?
Just give us a shout if you have any problems navigating the community at all. In the meantime, I look forward to seeing you about. -

@a@Adrian_Scope I teach 10-13 year olds. Although I'm burnt out of teaching and am leaving at Xmas. Scary times!Adrian_Scope said:What age children do you teach @Milts?

Oh no! I'm sorry to hear that @Milts. Will you be moving onto anything else?
-
@Adrian_Scope I hope so, or I'll starve! Not sure what I want to do, but something more in health and social care I think. Any suggestions gratefully received!!
-
Well, I don't know if they'd be of any use to you @Milts, but we have some free employment services here at Scope that might be able to help.
-
@Adrian_Scope definitely! I am getting rather panicky about it! I will check them out. Thanks so much.
