@swatteam that defiantly qualifies you. I dont know why your gp isnt taking it seriously
How do you get on with raynaulds I have that too? -
@ Sandy_123 Its still playing havoc .what do you take for it..my gp is a nightmare
-
@Swatteam they havnt given me any thing. Consultant just said ware soxs and that I'm in wrong country, I told him give me a 1 way ticket to Spain then, he just laughed.
My toes swell up and hurts to walk on them like that and so cold.pluss the pain I get. My hands are same, not swollen but cold. -
@Sandy_123 I've had it for years nifedine are very good i take tildium now but not much better.you can get medication for it. I walk around the house with my clothes on plus a dressing gown I have legs and feet like blocks of ice..we went on holiday 42 in the shade I had to have a blanket but the heat was lovely I have a hat scarf and glove even in the summer and mask now.
-
@Swatteam gosh I would die in that heat with blankets on.
I've usually got a sleeping bag over me at home
Can I ask? How did you get your diagnosis? Because they put blood pressure straps on my legs. Which I thought was very bizarre. -
Mine was diagnosed 2006 but I remember going to the beach when I was 10 I was the only person there with a polo neck jumper on,,,, I had blood flow tests the consultant said I was probably born with it.
-
@Swatteam gosh, hopefully they do more research on it.
-
@Sandy_123 am 57 now but there is other things associated to Raynaud's syndrome. I had 3 stents in my stomach 16th Nov my records were updated on the 17th nov thats when I was diagnosed with p a d but the drs never told me I went for more blood flow studies on Monday as I have had bad legs and I asked the nurse she said yup thats what you've got these bad legs have been going on along time I have not had any aftercare 1 phone call off hospital and none off my gp since
-
@Swatteam that's not good is it. What I always disagreed with is that when you get a diagnosis of any kind, your just told, you have this now, then sent home to deal with it.
-
@Sandy_123 he didn't even notify me.my husand said to the consultant who said I had fibromyalgia what next he nothing you can do although I know you can get something for it I also had a hysterectomy just before lockdown and had a ecg which showed I had a silent heart attack my gp just said supposedly nothing else
-
@Swatteam it's disappointing isn't it. You have to fight for anything you need, gps just say see how it goes.
-
@Sandy_123 I am going to raise a complaint and move gps because it isn't right there playing with peoples lives especially mine xx it was a lifesaving op in November some thing rare it was found by accident..and this is how there treating me .
-
@Swatteam yeah put a complaint in to practice manager or CQC it's happening a lot I think.
-
@Sandy_123 well first they don't have a practice manager, just the main gp which all complaints goes to him which happens to be my doctor so that's pointless I need to go higher but with whats going on with coviid it makes me feel guilty to start with. I don't want an argument I just want a gp to look after me or am I being to greedy ?
-
@Swatteam I would change gps
-
@Sandy_123 I will thank you for the chat yesterday
-
