The changes to following and planning a journey were a few years ago. https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/personal-independence-payment-changes/overwhelming-psychological-distress-and-journeys-changes-to-pip-law-from-28-november-2016
I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. I have all notifcations turned off and wouldn't want a member thinking i'm being rude by not replying. If i see a question that i know the answer to i will try my best to help. -
Thankyou.

Hi poppy those changes to following and planning a journey, does this mean when making a decision that all though your claim and medial evidence states phshycologica stress severely that they have to consider this?

Before making a decision they will look at everything you sent, which includes the form, any other evidence and the assessment report, which is part of your evidence. Although evidence is only useful if it states how your conditions affect you and most medical evidence only states the basics like diagnosis, medication etc etc.

But why did that descriptor become law?
-
The descriptor has always been there but before the law changed they removed the words “psychological distress.” Which meant that those suffering from this could not score points in certain descriptors for following and planning a journey.
All you can do at the moment is wait for the decision, which can be anything between 2-12 weeks sometimes longer.I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. Hi @poppy123456 I still haven't had a desision yet so rang them and they said shouldn't be long now, I said I have read the report and I'm not happy with some of things assesor said , so she asked me if I wanted to let the dm know what I'm not happy with , she typed them up and said she will pass on to Dm , I didn't think I could do yet ,what do you think ? Could it make a difference on desision when they come to making it?
