it can take up to 12 weeks from the assessment. Unfortunately you just have to wait.
Information I post is for England unless otherwise stated. Rules may be different in other parts of UK.

There's no difference to the timescales when your claim is with a decision maker. As advised, the timescale is anything up to 12 weeks and even then, it's a timescale so nothing more than a guide.
There's nothing more you can do but wait.
I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. I have all notifcations turned off and wouldn't want a member thinking i'm being rude by not replying.

The timescales they tell you are nothing more than a guide. Going by the texts they send the timescales have always been "8 weeks" what they don't tell you is backlogs at the moment are huge. Going by other threads on here, it's more like up to 12 weeks.
    Realistically, there's never any timescales.

Well leaving someone with health conditions waiting for a letter for up to 3 months while they make a decision is disgusting especially if the person has mental health problems it could effectively make them more ill

The problem is, you are not the only person waiting for a decision, there’s likely to be thousands of others too.
We are still in a pandemic and people are still working under extreme conditions. People off on the sick and having to work extra to cover for those that are off.
Backlogs are all part of the claims process.
