My post is about a Christmas resolution.
In the theme of Can you write a poem I just wrote this.
Although my topic is about your New Years resolution, what's yours.

Christmas time resolution.

Christmas comes round once a year

Where people laugh and are in good cheer.

They forget about the argument they had

Whether they were good or even bad.

They only have one thing in mind

To have a drink and the family round.

I could never understand Oh why they wait

Before they need to instigate, a simple sorry is all it takes

And all that time you have to waste?

It was not that long ago, it was Disability month you know

To celebrate achievements made by others, who had decided, to have ago

Are you now going to spend a year, waiting here at the rear.

Or are you going to make a go, so next year you can gloat and sneer.

I was one who thought I was out of luck,

Always moaning, I’ve been robbed.

But I decided that this year, to make a resolution and not disappear.

So the resolution I have made, is to be a good boy and try harder this year

If I could help just one person today, enjoy the positives he has to display

And stop the negative rush and get them on that other bus.

There is help around you if you want to look,

its sometimes we wear blinkers and don’t take a look

And turn because we don’t want to look, the answers really right there in plain sight

But all we do is stand and stare, so join me when I say.

Make this resolution last more than a day, and keep it going into next year.

What will your resolution say about you?

It doesn’t matter, really, it’s only you, your trying to fool.

Great poem. Thank you for sharing @onebigvoice
I'm not setting any resolutions this year, that way I can't be disappointed come 4th January when I've stopped sticking to them! :D

@Adrian_scope Now now, have you already broken the first rule?  By making a resolution not to make a resolution?
Ha ha ha, or should I say Ho ho ho......  no what ever floats your boat.
as another thought for the coffee lounge discussion......
Have you ever run out of your favourite jam, honey or anything that you just need to get that last little bit out of?
WELL, here's a tip, fill a bowl with warm water and put the jar in it for about 5 minutes. (warmer if you can't wait that long) take it out and every last drop is on the bottom ready to make that last sandwich.
    Give it a go......
Are you ready to start another year?

There is one resolution l always make every year. And that is one l will not break. So, l'll just carry on the same old way. And anything that takes my fancy during the year,[like losing more weight] l'll do it right there and then. The trouble with New Year Resolutions is just a tradition and always ends up breaking them.
