    The housing element is based on rent of £407.03. Is that the correct amount? ( the weekly equivalent is £93.93)

    They don’t get help with 25% of the rent because they have 2 spare rooms.

    If they don't know what the £76 deductions are for i'd advise you to ring and ask them, or put a message onto their journal under the payments section and ask.

    Yes I think that is right. 

    I wasn't suggesting it's wrong, it's just more than they paid before they switched to UC so wondered why

    If they were previously claiming Housing Benefit they should also have been required to pay 25% of the rent if they had two spare rooms.

    They were. They've paid the so called bedroom tax since it was introduced

    So I don’t understand why you are saying they are paying more on the rent than before. They are paying 25% (although obviously if the rent has gone up that 25% will be a slightly higher amount).

    They were paying 80 something towards their rent before and now they're paying £107

    The UC statement says they need to pay £101.76/month (unless there is a service charge on top or some arrears to pay off).

    Was the £80 every month or every four weeks (which would be £86.66/month).

    Has the rent changed since they were on Housing Benefit?

    OK so having spoken to my parents they have to pay £103 out of their own money to make up the rent. So nearly what it's meant to be?

    Not going to worry about a discrepancy of £1.24/month. There can be slight discrepancies depending on exactly how the calculations are carried out.
