Hello @Tooner68. Welcome to Scope's forum. It is great to see you have joined us. How are you today? I hope you are well and thank you for sharing some information about some of your interests. Do you have any particular favourite games, films, tv shows or music? I will look forward to hopefully hearing more from you, especially as this may help you to connect with our other community members who may share the same interests

Welcome to the community from me too @Tooner68
It's great to have you on board!
Thank you for sharing some information about yourself. I'd also be interested in hearing about your favourite kinds of games, films, and music.
We have plenty of members who share these interests, as well as members who've also experienced sight loss. It sounds like you have quite a lot in common with @ross_scope
Please do give us a shout if you need anything!0 -
Thankyou all for the great welcome!
Fave games and films you say? Where to start….
Fave films…I love 80’s classics like Ferris Buellars day off, The Goonies, Weird Science, Star Wars, The Terminator as well as Independance Day and some modern films as well!
Fave Games….I love to play sim games (and I DONT mean ‘The Sims!!), driving games like Euro Truck Sim 2 and Snowrunner and some survival games like “Ark” and “Conan Exiles” as well as factory building games like “Satisfactory” and more besides! It depends on wether the game is suitable for me to p,as with my partial sight loss!
What…music you say….!
Queen, 80’s hits and bands, Erasure, Robbie Williams, Scooter and some modern stuff as well!0 -
Welcome to the community @Tooner68, that's quite a range of media that you enjoy there, some good stuff in there too!
I also have sight loss and I game quite a bit too, I find it a challenge these days to find accessible games, but I'm glad that you have a bunch that you enjoy to play. I enjoy simulations myself, so might have to check out some of those.
I hope you are managing to get used to the community
