Pip full report!

i was Diagnosed this year with ASD it was a shock. I was told to go for pip… now back in 2020 I went for pip for my anxiety and I didn’t get it. I never wanted to do it again because of the way it made me feel! They are really not understanding at all they follow a check list.
so I started a new claim this year April 5th
sent off all my evidence and got someone to fill the form in because I’m terrible with writing for a text to say they have it on the 10th of may … I have a phone call assessment on the 28th of July … the lady was very Abrupt with me she could hear that I was anxious I cried she offered me a break two times as she could hear I was Obviously distressed this phone call took 2 hours 36 mins …
I asked for the full report to be sent to me because Im terrible waiting around for info because of my anxiety.. it come today and it’s a pack of lies!
i want to Complain about the assessment the way the woman was on the way she’s written this pack of lies about me.

To constantly reapply using the same evidence you previously used will likely see consant refusals. Best way once the decision is made if you're not happy is to challenge that decision by first requesting the Mandatory Reconsideration. (MR)Once you have the decision you can post back here and someone will advise you further.1

Ok thank you very much for your advice0

Also I didn’t re apply with the same evidence 🙃 when I applied in 2020 it was for anxiety- this year when I got my ASD Diagnosis I was told to go for pip again. And send all my new evidence off x

Although PIP isn’t awarded based on any diagnosis.0

Yes I fully understand it isn’t just based on the diagnosis. It’s how the disability effects you.And my disability really effects me. I gave them all evidence I had and reported how I have my difficulty’s.0
-
That's why you need to challenge the decision if you have another refusal, rather than reapplying.

This time I will, I’ve already made a complaint to the assessment people as pip told me the number, they said it sounds as though I was unfairly treated asked me what I wanted to make the complaint for so I gave them reasons. The anxiety this situation has given me is terrible I knew what to expect as my refusal last time. This time ok granted the report looks negative on my part I still don’t no the out come. I was told by a lovely lady on the pip line that it’s looks like 3-5 weeks till I get my letter letting me no if I get it or not. And explained to me what to do if I need to.She also told me the phone call should of been 40 mins to 1:30h max not 2 and half hours she was sorta blown away by that.0

There's no maximum time the assessment can last for, that would be very odd. Sometimes there's more questions needed that other times. It really depends on how you filled the form out and how much information you gave.1

Let us know if you need anything furtherHello, I got my Decision letter today… 0 points!
I sent everything off I Could
The lady who did my assessment was rude… she’s said I didn’t sound anxious yet that’s a lie like I said I was emotional 2 times and was offered a break!
I’m very disappointed but not Surprise to say the least
What do I do now… because as much as it’s all given me so much anxiety I need to make it clear I have issues every day!

It’s so upsetting, I feel degraded! I have such high anxiety I have ASD I only leave my house when I have to! I don’t cook I only use the microwave my husband manages money because I spend way to much!I’ve have massive issues with texture of food and I can’t eat any fruit… I’m the girl who would rather be home than go to the party… I’m not good around people I don’t no… I’ve not worked since 2014 because I couldn’t face it any longer.. my husband picks the kids up and takes them to school because of the anxiety it gives me.. I sleep like utter **** and I’m on meds for the ocd and anxiety! But yet it’s still not enough.
Every day is a struggle..
can anyone give me some advice because I just feel so lost! I want to fight this I’ve come this far! Thanks guys x0 -
Hello @Tb040511
Sorry to hear that you got 0 points, and that you are feeling quite upset and degraded. When you put so much effort into the claim it can feel really demoralising when you don't get the award you feel you are entitled to, but I would encourage you to keep on with the MR as at the very least you have nothing to lose in terms of entitlement.
have you gone through the report and identified where you feel as though you should have been awarded points? There is a guide here on the Citizens Advice website for carrying out the MR, and if you do go ahead with it I would certainly suggest giving that page a read. You could send off an accompanying letter with your MR that explains where you feel as though you should have been awarded points, and why you should be awarded those points.
In terms of your mental health, do ensure that you utilise the support of your husband if you need it, and any other support you have in place to help you manage it. It's important to take occasional breaks from focussing on issues such as your benefit claim and doing something you enjoy in order to help you relax and take your mind off things.
If you ever feel as though you want to chat, the online community is of course always here and you can give Scope's helpline a call using the details on this page.0 -
Yeah I’m going to fight it! She said I wasn’t anxious in the assessment that’s a pack of lies as I’ve said before…. Thank you for the link. It’s uk bank holiday tomorrow so I’m doing to sort it all Tues… I’m shocking with pen and paper so I’m gonna have to ask my husband to help me. Thank you again0

You should put your request in writing stating where and why you think you should have scored those points. My advice it to put the assessment report to one side because this isn't going to get you a PIP award. I realise the report said you didn't sound anxious during the assessment but it's extremely difficult to detect someones tone of anxiety through a telephone assessment. This in itself isn't going to get you a PIP award.Include a couple of real world incidents of exactly what happened the last time you attempted each activity that applies to you. Adding detailed information such as where you were, what exacetly happened, did anyone see it and what the consequences were. You should aim for at least half an A4 side of paper per descriptor that applies. The most likely outcome will be the decision will remain the same as only 27% of decisions change at this stage. This means you'll likely be going to Tribunal.

Thank you for the advice. This person who did my assessment could hear I was very anxious and she offered me a break 2 times. That’s what I’m trying to say. She’s added how I didn’t sound anxious when she heard I did.She also said I didn’t ask her to repeat or ask to explain the questions yet I asked a few times… again. She’s put I didn’t asked and I was fine. That’s a lie.She made a point in saying because I can use a microwave I can cook… ie cook with the oven ect .. i don’t cook with the cooker my husband cooks our meals because I’m dangerous even with chopping things. She asked me questions about my Alopecia I answered and non of that was added into the report.. also about having b12 nothing again added… nothing about my ASD and how it effects me…
but like you said it’s best not to go by the report… I will be going for mr and even a tribunal if needs be must. I feel really upset and degraded it didn’t come as a surprise but still hurts.I will be having my husband write where I think I should of been awarded points.0
