@Tori_Scope when people talk down to me I initially feel angry but after a while that fades and I feel depressed.

Deficient. We might experience things differently, but that doesn't mean we are lacking or our experiences are any less rich.

Gullible or stupid. People don't seem to like it when I tell them my long list of qualifications or l point out that what they are saying is illogical and/or unbelievable. It means I don't fit into their pigeon hole for what they expect a disabled person to be.

You are educated. Why are you not able to make friends? Possibly because you are shy. You do not trust people in general or you do not know where to start. There are no easy web sites where  you can chat to people individually and not be open to everybody knowing your conversation.

Disabled does not mean it's always visible or obvious. We are all dealing with different things, it doesn't make us any less worthy or capable

    I'm absolutely fine with it.
I don't mind if people use the words 'suffers from' about my disability. I do suffer. There also seems to be a tendency to dismiss anyone who dares to voice discontent with their disability. I have had 'You're not the only one' from physios (as if that's supposed to make anything better) and from other people with cerebral palsy, the inevitable 'There's lots of people worse off than you (which puts everyone on some sort of subjective scale of misfortune and says that only the person at the top has any right to express discontent).

Are no different to able bodied people as we are all humans, and should be treated equally within society!
