Hi @cat1932 I look after adults who have these and they don't really complain about them. They are less intrusive than urethral catheters but need an initial incision in your stomach below the belly button straight into the bladder. My late Dad had one and he said it gave him more freedom. I know having spoken to Urologists that they generally look at doing Suprapubic when the person is still sexually active. Otherwise it just gets in the way

I have no experience with that specific type of catheter. However they are usually only recommended for people who are sexually active. Ask your urologist for more information. Get as much information as you can possibly get about the whole thing.
Prepare a short list of questions to ask them too. -
Hi all I'm 3 weeks in now on having it all fitted. The upside is I'm able to have more control
Downside it is still settling down and still giving me problems on bypass and leakage but all in all when it eventually settles down it will be the est option. I have had to have it fitted due to Caudia equine syndrome in 2019 and 2 major spinal operations which has left serious nerve damage -
I hope that it settles down for you soon @martin1957! Are your medical team being supportive?
