Claiming the ESA is not going to help with that. If you're claiming with your partner and they earn more than £988/month then you'll be in the light touch group anyway so won't be expected to look for work.

I agree that if you were eligible to ESA there would be merit in getting ESA as well even UC though there would be no financial gain. However it does look likely that you are not entitled to ESA.0 -
